Could still be a possibility depending on what happens with Hayward.

i dislike so much about okafur and have been very open about stating what and why.

however.....if all it takes is shipping out amir, who is leaving anyway, then at such a price, okafur is worth acquiring and seeing whether CBS can figure out a productive role for him.

if CBS says "12 minutes a game. throw him the ball and let his dunk." i can live with that and okafur's flaws since the cost of getting is basically nothing.

this is indeed an interesting off season.  ;D

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I got the impression from won that when Philly agreed with Amir they reached out to us and asked if we wanted to take Jah and we said nah.

So Philly was the one who tried to talk s and t.

I'd still take a flier on the dude if we don't need cap space for Hayward. He's talented.

lol

Let's suppose that this is accurate.  It clearly does NOT necessarily mean that Boston inquired about Okafor - it could equally well mean that Philadelphia brought it up.

The cost is a roster spot and a space in the salary structure - not to mention the hemorrhaging defense, high turnovers to assists, rebounding like a small forward...

. . . lack of spacing, stagnating the offense, poor conditioning . . .

Okahfor is better than given credit.  He's in a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty situation in philly and would be great in Boston but by go after a need when we have assets ::)

Yeah, I mean, I am really happy we didn't give up Jaylen Brown for him last year (#3 pick at the time), but I don't necessarily all hope is lost with the guy. I would like to see him in a place like Boston where he would be held accountable for everything he does. The talent is there - he went #3 for a reason.

If we can get him for next to nothing after the Hayward thing I would love it.

I read somewhere that it was Philly's idea (not sure why) and that Danny told them - nope, not interested.  Not sure why wouldn't take Okafor cheap.  If so, that means we never really ever wanted him in spite of the year long barrage from the media.  Maybe Danny said no because he needed that money for Hayward?

Signings are not made official until another week or so, so we could in theory still execute a sign and trade with Phili for Okafor after we find out about Hayward.

Phili could use the cap space after blowing 23 million on Reddick and 11 million on Amir.
