Jaylen Brown did not at all look NBA-ready in Summerleague and was the 2nd worst player on the team in preseason... this after most analysts said he was extremely raw, the likely #8 pick, and at least a couple years away from contributing.

Considering that, I think it's wildly impressive that his first 39 minutes of NBA basketball have resulted in 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal with 65% shooting.

Awesome sign.  I hope we see more of that tonight.
i did not follow the preseason closely, still I was a bit surprised to read this. What metrics did you use?

He had more minutes than anyone on the team.  If you evened out everyone's preseason minutes, only Jerebko was worse.  http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=87338.0

But he looked good in his first two real games and that's all that matters.   Though technically I guess his per-36 stats over the first two games are still worse than everyone other than Jerebko.

Is hibbert and kaminsky playing?
as mentioned in the post, it is a game time decision; I just checked and there is nothing new on this front.

Reports are that Hibbert is OUT. I'm not sure about Kaminsky.

I'd think a lot of that is due to his incredibly poor FT shooting.

This Hornets team is very beatable. I'm ready to panic if they lose. Hoping for a big game from Jaylen.

Friendly reminder we started 1-3 last year and things went fine. No need to panic about 3 games of an 82 game season.

I expect a better showing tonight not being on the second night of a back to back and after that game the other night.

Let's just get Horford more involved offensively. Can't keep having him shooting his lowest fga per game since his rookie season.

Hit the first two threes, but I hate us settling for those types of threes from perimeter passes.

AB has to step it up. I'm tired of 13 point 1st halves and 4 pt 2nd halves.

And he needs to start shutting down people too. :police:
