And to think the New Zealand Breakers retired this guy's number and he couldn't even be the 15th man for any of the Celtics teams the last 2 decades.

This is absolutely not true - the breakers will never retire his number - he played three seasons there with virtually zero fanfare (a team mvp)

Ben was a serviceable big guy who bounced around the Australian NBL for his entire career - he played well without being truly outstanding - at no point whilst watching him toil against my team, the Perth Wildcats, did I think that - 'hey Ben would really help the Celtics!!' Tony Battie was 10 times the player that Ben Pepper ever was
