2/16 (2nd unguaranteed) for Zeller. Vet minimum for Green, 1 year.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

You have to give him more for the unguaranteed second year. He's now a valuable salary-matching tool, like Amir last year.

Or have cap flexibility for a max player next summer.

Good to have an extra big body.
^this tbh

and I like the second year being a team option, it is a nice safety policy.

Zeller was disappointing last year, but there are some thing he can do pretty well esp. at the offensive end. Consider also that few centers were available as FAs this summer, and some of  those who were, got massively overpaid (Mozgov, Plumlee).
Zeller will be useful to have, esp. in the regular season.

As a side note, this is a good reminder of how emotional fans can get.
I remember Zeller's first year when commenters (not so much here as in the Blog) had gone ballistic over what an amazing prospect he were; to the point of attacking Stevens when he did not play 'enough' mins - whatever enough is supposed to mean. And then in his second year, esp. towards the end of the season, he was repeatedly described as 'garbage'.

Anyway, just for ol' times sake, here's a souvenir from the 2014-15 season

Only Hunter and Young have guaranteed contracts, right?

Not sure if Ainge could consolidate Hunter, Young, and Holland's contracts into a single player on an expiring. Might be easier to just ship individual players out to teams for whatever Ainge can get.

Yeah and Bentil has a partially guaranteed deal.

I hope this is a precursor to a deal of some sort. A lot of dead weight on this roster.
a lot of dead weight? on a roster most people consider to be deep and have a solid to good group of players from 6 to 10 on the bench?

zeller is what? 5th or 6th guy off the bench making him the 11th or 12th man on the roster? your post makes no sense and doesnt reflect the depth of the celtics line up. please post better than a through away line.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Looks like they didn't end up using Bird rights, given the amount paid.  This Zeller can be traded beginning December 15th instead of January 15th.
