The effort and the crowd will both be there tonight.  But they gotta make some shots.

If a certain big man does not try tonight, I think we should bench him the rest of the series and not resign him.

  • That's turrible
Looks like you guys will be getting your wish. According to the 98.5 Sports Hub

Starting Line up:
Evan Turner
Isaiah Thomas
Jae Crowder
Jonas Jerebko
Amir Johnson.

Good move offensively. I trust Smart off the bench for the meantime anyways. Him and Rozier work well together. Sully will be interesting...

Dang it. You just beat me to it. TP
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Interesting changes.

Happy to see Jerebko start. I love his quickness and defensive versatility at PF.

I wonder if Crowder should have moved to the bench for Turner instead of Smart. Crowder has just played so badly when used at the SF position in this series.

I think Sully can be a weapon off the bench against Muscala. Should make it easier for Sully to exploit his rebounding advantage and scoring skills over Muscala than Horford.

Though I've said win or lose this series I won't be disappointed in this season, this game is pivotal.  They lose tonight and it almost feels like the season was a mirage -- no closer than they were a year ago.  Really feel the need for a win tonight. Go C's!

"It's ultimately Kelly's call based on how he feels," Brad Stevens said on Olynyk playing.

So KO is actually medically cleared to play, but it's just up to him dealing with the pain? Ridiculous. That can't happen in the playoffs. Crowder is playing on one ankle, Smart is playing with bruised ribs, but KO isn't out there due to some pain and tenderness in his shoulder? Inexcusable in the playoffs. He's soft as Charmin.

Stevens tried to justify KO not playing saying "he WOULD play if he COULD play." Well, he's the only one stopping himself from playing, so, no, he CAN play but is REFUSING to play. Even if he wasn't hitting shots, he'd still be valuable out there for us with his floor spacing and passing.

I like the lineup changes. This will now allow Smart to run the second unit and be more of a facilitator rather than a shooter/scorer.

I'd also like to see Turner start with the ball-handling and playing IT off of the ball coming off of screens. That'd throw a different look out there at them.

I'm only worried about Turner guarding Korver, which traditionally hasn't worked too well for us.

Who'd have thunk in December that the news of Jonas Jerebko starting a playoff game would bring cheers from Cblog.     Sully's stock plummeting by the minute.

I am not that bothered about Olynyk not playing. He plays like garbage when he is not 100% anyway. It's not like he'll be an asset out there.

Maybe Jerebko should take Korver. Crowder vs Millsap. Turner vs Bazemore.

I'd bet on Jerebko being the most disciplined to stay like glue on Korver.

They're not competing in this series without that certain big man playing well - and he's been a no show so far.

Interesting  --  NBA.com featuring Sully defending Horford on front page.

Note: Sully with the impressive hand caught in net defense.

He'd still space out the floor. Hell, just put him in the corner, and you take Milsap or Horford out from underneath the basket. That would be huge for us, because we've seen what happens when they don't respect our bigs as shooters (primarily Amir and Sully) and just camp down low.

Ehh, I don't trust JJ running through all of those screens. He's much bigger and quite a bit slower with less agility than Smart, AB, and those guys. I could see him getting hung up on a lot of screens.

I think he'll benefit us the most purely by stretching the floor. Hopefully he can knock some down and keep the defense honest.
