We might as well put Tyrion in at center.

I do NOT want KG traded. I love his intensity and we will never get closer to a championship without him in the near future. If I were Danny Ainge, I would consider our recent winning streak and shoot this offer down. That being said, I think this is a good package if we were planning on rebuilding -

(trade machine isn't working, but the trade works financially)

Celtics trade KG, Fab Melo
Celtics get DeMarcus Cousins, John Salmons, Jimmer Fredette

Clippers trade Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan
Clippers get KG

Kings trade DeMarcus Cousins, John Salmons, Jimmer Fredette
Kings get Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan, Fab Melo

With the 16th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Daenerys Targaryen (and her 3 dragons + 8000 Unsullied) from the continent of Essos!

Well it's better than getting Bledsoe and Jordan.

I'll pass on Cousins, this kid makes Rondo look like a golden child.

Possibly best case trade KG scenario

*If we HAD to trade KG

Many were infatuated with Cousins before, and he still has so much more potential. It's better than getting Bledsoe/Jordan because Cousins is already a developed talent with at least just as big a ceiling.

Best case scenario is something along the lines of:

After winning another title, KG retires after the 2013-2014 season.  But before he retires, he allows his contract to be traded to a team looking to dump salary in the summer of 2014.

Let's say the cheapo Grizzlies decide they want to dump Marc Gasol for purely financial reasons and it's something like KG, Fab Melo (if he looks like he will be an adequate backup center with just enough upside that the Grizz can claim with a straight face that he is a potential future starter), and a first round pick for Gasol, with Memphis waiving KG and his partially-guaranteed final year or agreeing to a buyout or KG files retirement papers.

First choice, keep KG, have him continue on mentoring the youngsters,

Second choice....get a 23 year old Eric Bledsoe and a 24 year old DeAndre Jordan.  From that you either have Eric Bledsoe as a trade chip or you have Rondo as a trade chip, good start to the rebuilding right there.

Third Choice, KG for Lebron James....oh wait.  That's not an option.
