With Steph Curry and Jarret Jack occupying the PG minutes in Oakland, Charles Jenkins, who played well last season, is not getting minutes.

Dubs fans love this kid's heart. He's solid all around. He's not going to give us 10 assist or 20+ points a game but he plays solid defense, he can get to the rim as well.

Now I dont know what would cost us to get him, but since he's a second rounder 3rd string guard, he can probably come in for cheap. Multiple second rounders maybe? Barbosa? But he can be a solid to ptentially great replacement for Rondo.

Thoughts?

whats the point? he wouldn't get playing time over any of our guards. Rather have Delonte who knows the system, and would make jet expendable for a expiring contract from a contender so we can clear some future cap space.

This is only if were getting another PG.

Jenkins has starter level talent and is burrowing in the Dubs bench. Its safe to say he's better better than Delonte, with the way he played last year.

Im with bringing delonte back. He never really seemed to have a problem here in boston and doc loves the kid. Knows the system, can spread the floor. But in saying that im all for just playing barbosa 15-20 mins a night then dividing the rest of the time between the other 3 guards.

Yes, a JET trade would be my reason to bring in another guard as well.  Bass trade, even better, but that'd be tough.

We need a PURE PG on this team.  Yes, we have a LOT of guards, but none of them NOT named Rondo are pure PG's, they are SG's!!!!

Delonte is NOT a pure PG.  He is more of the same that we already have, a tweener guard (more a SG than a PG).

I started a thread about this already, but since I got no meaningful responses, here it goes again.

Sign Andre Barrett!!  He plays with our RedClaws and leads the NBADL in assists.

http://www.nba.com/dleague/statistics/player/Assists.jsp?league=20&season=22012&conf=OVERALL&position=0&splitType=9&splitScope=GAME&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=All%20Teams

Yes, he is 30 already.  I am NOT looking at him as a permanent answer, but to buy time for us to sort out trades, etc.  Sign him to a 10-day contract and see how he does.  He is a PURE PG that could run our team.  They are supposedly running our offense in Maine, right??  We have a roster spot, now two, and this will cost us virtually nothing.

We don't need a point guard.  We've already got a total of two of them.  Terry, Bradley, Lee, and Barbosa are a half a point guard each.  Add that up and you've got a total of two backup point guards.

Our starting point guard now that Rondo is out happens to play small forward.

Might be difficult to get him, but I'd love to trade for Will Bynum.
