Quito, Ecuador....when I was a child my family moved to Boston. I now live in California for the last 15 yrs.
Welcome and TP! My "Sister" Patti lives in Quito, (originally from Guayaquil).
She was an AFS student with my family during her high school years, when I was in Jr. High and my brother and sister in high school, and has been a part of my family ever since.
She visits every year and we have all been to Ecuador a number of times. I loved Salinas Beach and the Galapagos, though the difference between the classes is still very stark ... love the people!
Her entire family has been part of our family ever since ... they all visit, and she has a sister in Lawrence who comes up to Maine wuite often as well.
Patti has been the personal assistant (and lawyer) to the President of Ecuador for some time, (even during changes in administration), and is still unmarried and loviong it, (it makes perfect sense if you knew her ... the biggest control freak I've ever known by far, though I love her dearly).
Here she is with my biological Sis and the Ecuadorian President/Administration:
She had four sisters, (one has since passed), so having a little brother, (which she still calls me), is a big deal to her, and she not only spoils me a bit, but loves to tease the heckouta me, and dig her long fingernails into my arm whenever she's scared or laughing.
I hope to see her again this June, if all goes well.
Welcome to CelticsBlog ... I hope it's a long stay!
