The breakdown I would like to see now is

PG Rondo 36  House 12
SG Ray 36 Pierce 12
SF Pierce 24 Posey 24
PF KG 36 Scali 10  Davis 2
C  Perkins 30 Pollard 10 Davis 6

To be changed when
1) Tony is healthy
2) a backup PG is added
3) a better bench big man is added

About to be a lot of PG's on the market that could backup Rondo.   Jarrett Jack (big PG that can defend, right price young I think the best  person to share minutes to Rondo), Luke Ridnour (um maybe good shooter, decent passer, not sure about the defense though).  Jamal Tinsley (we don't like him I'll move on), Smush Parker (don't know much about the guy but how high can he be on the list) Andre Miller looks like Miami doesn't want him, I think he'll end up in Cleveland we can't afford him.  And then there is Earl Watson (lots of energy, but he's a little guy, too much of a scorer and not enough of a passer for me).  So if we could get Jarret Jack I think he'd be a good addition, then we could focus on a big man thoughts?

Add Bibby to that as well but we can't afford him either.  His contract is more mammoth than Miller's.

KG, Allen, & Pierce are all being used too much...with the way the season has gone so far they should only be averaging at the most, 35 mpg...if not then the starters are gonna be tired when the post season comes around...

I think Jarrett Jack would be a great addition, I just don't think we'd actually be able to get him
People always say to me, "when you get to the NBA, don't forget about me." Well, I should've said back, "if I don't make it to the NBA, don't you forget about me."

Im sick of the rest the starters theories. Every other starter on every other team is playing big minutes. They get played to play not rest. Play the starters, sitting them ditrupts their flow and rhythm. If you sit them now they might be tired in the post season but they could also be rusty from sitting too much and not be able to play the minutes needed in the playoffs. We are only 30 games in and havent even hit the all star break yet, let them get rest the last 10 games of the season. They are getting a pay check to play.

Celtics  -  2 in the top 20 of minutes
            3 in the top 75

Mavs   -    0 top 20
            1 in top 40
            1 in top 75

Spurs       0 in top 50
            1  in top 75

Pistons     0 in the top 50
            3 in the top 75

Suns       1 in top 30
           1 in top 50
4 in the top 75 (and their fans complain their coach plays his guys to many minutes)

Of the top teams, only the Celtics have guys in the top 20.  Only team with more then one guy in the top 50.

Ray would  probably make an amazing point guard so I would go with.....

1-Ray Allen
2-Tony Allen
3-Truth
4-KG
5-Big baby davis

The only reason i would have Glen in at 5 is that he and Pierce work extremely well together. Just look at the last Detroit game and look how many times Paul got Big Baby the ball.

But don't forget rondo should be back soon and then you can go back to having Ray allen at 2 an put rondo at 1.

It helped that Detroit doesn't use a C or really large PF.

The starting lineup is one of the most efficient units the team uses.  I think it needs to get used more often at the end of games (not every time.)

32 seems kinda low. KG just had a lot of time off and Ray had a couple games off earlier as well.  I think they could use the minutes because they need to get more of a rythym going on offense again.

So, you don't see House playing at all? I still think they could use his scoring off the bench. Personally I would prefer to see Posey at SF and give Powe/Davis all the back up PF minutes. I'm not really sure how you work House into this line up. I guess the question is SG. Do the minute go to TA or House? I would guess it depends on the match up and if they need offense or defense. It's a pretty good problem to have.

I do see a reduction in minutes for House coming but not a complete banishment to the bench.

we should get a pretty good indication of PT wednesday vs detroit....

if anyone thinks KG, PP, RA play less than 38mpg, you havent been watching much.

also, there is not point projecting minutes for bench players expecting a 9-10 deep rotation.

sam, pj, and posey will all get 15+ mpg (and the others will get sporadic garbage time).
