Seriously? The Knicks? Just replace that game with Spurs-Raptors man and you'll get some views.

Thunder/Rockets look redundant. Westbrook/PG13 vs Harden/CP3? Meh.

They really should stop with the LeBron/Warriors rivalry on Christmas it's getting old. I was expecting Celtics @ Lakers.

76ers-Celtics...bleh lol. I'd be fine with that on opening night, but this ain't dynamic enough.

Don't even get me started with the pathetic Blazers and the first-time Jazz appearance.

This year's Christmas schedule sucks imo.

Wouldn't say it sucks but I feel like Xmas is for glamour fun matchups and opening night is for more competitive rivalry type stuff. Celtics-Philly makes more sense for opening night, but I think they may have wanted to get the Lakers in there without freezing Houston out.

I just don't know why the Blazer are in it if they're not the home team. It makes some sense if they need a Pacific Time team.  I'm glad the Jazz made it in as such a small market team but they should have New Orleans play Utah if they're going that way.

Though Lebron may not be there anymore, I could see a Cavs-Celtics opening night due to the fact that both made the ECF last year.
Seeing Kyrie go up against Sexton could be fun.

Would be awesome if he torched Sexton like he did DSJ (47 points on .727/.714/.909 shooting, including 10 in OT) ;D

It would be even more awesome if that game didn’t go into overtime.
Oh yeah. That second half was particularly brutal to watch. But seeing arguably the most entertaining player in the league drop 40+ on a trash-talking rookie in a win makes up for it ;)

Dang we have them on Opening Night too? Kinda disappointing. Thunder-Warriors nightcap as reported. No Rockets.

The league office must really hate Sixers fans. Forcing them to watch Boston beat them down on both opening night and Christmas just seems cruel.

Also kind of lame from an entertainment standpoint. I really would have preferred a more compelling Christmas game. Any of the Raptors, Rockets, Jazz, or Thunder would have been more interesting.

I feel like the NBA did a terrible job this year picking the Christmas games. Usually they get it right, but not this year.

Seems very strange that we’d get Philly for both opening night and Christmas. I guess we’ll know in a few minutes whether this is verified or not.

We're probably getting Lakers @ Celtics on Martin Luther King Day, and then a Celtics @ Lakers on a random Sunday ABC game.

Yeah I was hoping it was in Philly. My mom moved about an hour away from Philly and I was hoping it was there so I could go. But now that it’s a 5:30 game I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Could be.

No MLK game btw. Guess C’s/Lakers will be on some random Thursday and Sunday.

Could be like last year — Game 2 on the road the night after Opening night.  In fact, that’s what I’m expecting — Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.  Game 2 in Cleveland for their opener.

We may play MLK, just not on national television. That day is usually a full slate of 12+ games, so we will see Friday.

But yeah, Celtics and Lakers will probably be a Sunday afternoon game and a Thursday TNT game.

People are really rooting for BOS-PHI to be a rivalry, but the reality is Celtics just came close to sweeping them without their 2 best players. Sixers are a ways away from being legitimate threats to Boston..
