Don't throw Hayward any more ally oops.

I'm serious. They tried all through preseason, and it didn't work, and then he gets injured trying it five minutes into the season.

That was actually one of his staple plays on the Jazz. That said, yeah, I would probably avoid the play altogether, risk vs reward thinking. I just to cringe every time Rondo would throw a lob to KG, so I'll probably be doing the same if one's thrown to Hayward.

I would say no ally oops when Crowder and Lebron are on the floor.

I get nervous telling a player not to do what is natural. More injuries can result when trying to avoid getting injured. I guess Hayward will know what he can and cannot do on the floor. Call it a hunch though, I bet we see a few this year.

First KG and then Hayward last season. Yes, as a fan, I can live without seeing another Celtics player attempting an ally oop. However, from a players perspective, you simply can't play with fear of getting injured.

Brown's dunk was a breakaway.

The oop has been one of GH's strengths, going back to college and was used a lot in Utah as well, but yeah the first time they'll throw one to him I'll holding my breath. Save that shet for RW3.

No oops from Kyrie.  He’s not very good at them.

Marcus can make that pass, though.

What if you need an ally-oop inbounds pass with 0.2 to go in the 4th quarter down by 1 or 2 points and it's the Celtics' ball and Hayward is your best finisher for that?

I want them to throw that alley-oop to Hayward the first time one is open.  Even if it's not a staple play for us, I want that for his state of mind - prove to himself that he's back.

agree

I’m hoping it’s his first made shot when he returns. Would be pretty cool

I think we should just ban Hayward from jumping altogether.

 ;)

Did you know that Hayward had more dunks in 2016-2017 than Derozan, Leonard, Butler, and George?

Just a fun little factoid.
