Here we go, San Fransisco allows  non citizens to vote in local elections.

How do you feel about this?

You left out "school" elections. Looks they are letting the parents of the kids who go to said schools vote. Shocking.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

We allow resident aliens to vote in local elections.  They pay taxes and send their kids to schools.  Why shouldn’t they have a say?
“When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”

Leviticus 19:33-34

I don't see how it's appropriate at any level to allow illegal immigrants the right to vote. That's a very slippery slope.

Not letting them vote on school issues, when they are paying taxes to support those schools, would be taxation without representation.

What, exactly, do you mean by "slippery slope" here.  Towards what problem, exactly?

Towards say ... representation?   Having a voice?

I don't think someone who's here ILLEGALLY should have a right to influence any determination with their vote on any juncture.

That makes zero sense to me.

Yeah, pretty nonsensical. Except it's San Francisco, so not really surprising

To me it seems reactionary - and very consistent with that the Big-tent-ocrats usually do, which is to take a societal group and make them a voting bloc. Don't get me wrong - I couldn't in good conscience vote for the "bought and paid for by the oil and gas lobby"icans. But this is cynical politics.

Identity politics is poison for a society. That's why the Russians created the Blacktivist Facebook page. I don't approve of balkanizing America.

They are working so are likely paying state and federal income taxes.  So should they be able to vote in state and federal elections too?   Voting is a right and responsibility of being a citizen.  People who are here illegally should not have the right to vote.

Seems like a good thing? Makes them easier to find for deportation.

Is there anything San Francisco doesn't allow (besides conservatism)?
"There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'"

"You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body."

What a shame that Republicans never got their acts together and nominated this man. He could have corrected 80 years of federal abuse of American citizens.
