Come on, now. I know the line gets pushed too far in this forum. I know that our political system and news media is hopelessly broken, and that the rhetoric is insane. But wishing that an earthquake kills millions of voters seems a little much, doesn’t it? Please do better.

It makes me kinda sad that we need to remind people that that sort of thing is wrong.

But here we are...yay

Some of you are going to be horribly disappointed when democrats lose seats in November.  You will be even more disgusted when Trump whens in 2 years lol
Take out the liberal California nut jobs and Trump wins easily.  Hopefully the next earthquake does that.  Not many og us will be shedding any tears. The wall will be built.  Obamacare will be gone. If you do not like where this country is heading, then leave.  The problem is many people do not have the balls to do it.  All those who said they would leave the U.S. if Trump won are still here lol
Now the liberal left are calling Trump what he did yesterday Treasonous.  LOL.  It was nut job Obuma who said the Russians were are friends.  That they could never fix a U.S. election LOL.  Obuma and Biden criticized Mitt Romney on 2012 saying that the cold war was over.
Of course that is before the though their buddy crooked Clinton would win.  Obuma told Trump to stop wining and go out and win.  So he did!!!!
Liberals have no idea what they are talking about.  In 2012 Russia is a friend.  In 2016 they cannot dictate U.S. elections.  In 2018 they are the enemy and they are infiltration are elections.  It is comical!!
For Pelosi, Schumer and Brennan to be discussing Treason is insane. They are lucky they do not live in Russia.  If they talked that way about Putin they would already be dead.  Heck, if they talked that way against George Washington or Thomas Jefferson, they probably would have been hung or put before a firing squad.  It is this great country that allow politicians to say what they want to organize their base.  They don't actually believe what they say.  It is all rhetoric.  The left is concerned; and they should be.  Talking about impeachment and a coup.  Ha!!  They lost the presidency.  They are losing seats in November.  They have socialiast candidates who are more left and idiotic beating traditional democrats.  If anyone think those Cuban like socialists are beating any Republican you are surely mistaken....unless they represent areas where people are on welfare, food stamps, govt housing, free medical etc.etc.
Finally, they are coming to the realization that everything that Obuma did in his 8 years of futility is a distant memory.  By the time Trump is done, people won't even remember he was a president.    One more thing to prove America is winning.  When other countries around the world don't like us, that means we are winning.  They want to see America fail.  They love when we are not a world power.  They should be scared.  The U.S. has fallen behind in trade, education, military, etc. Sine the great Ronald Regan was president.  They did not like him either.  Remember what Italy did last month?  When a boat of refugees tried to dock in Italy, the military sent them packing.  If they did not leave the military would have sank the boat.  Italian officials said the only way they will ever see Italy is from pictures in a magazine.  It is harsh, but this is how it must be moving forward.  No remorse. No emotions.  Just business.  That is Trump in a nutshell.  You want to be a good businessman, that is how you do it.  It is no different than free agents seeking the best contract, or teams trading beloved players (Pierce and Garnett for example).  If you want to succeed you don't wait for things to happen; you take charge. Liberals are talking about a blue wave.  It will be a tsunami and they won't know what hits them.

Why does half of political rhetoric sound like a promo for a wrestling match?

Except for the rooting for the mass death of political opponents, they usually steer away from saying things that are actually evil.

I was thinking it might be Lex Luthor's burner account.

I assume that ...rant... was trolling, but besides that:

Do you honestly think that Thomas Jefferson, aka the guy that rose to the Presidency with a platform opposing the Alien and Sedition Acts, would have had people put to death for speaking against him?
I'm bitter.

The answer is no.  I can't imagine living in a country where political opposition not only was illegal, but punishable by death.  It's one of the many reasons why we should oppose dictatorships like Putin's.

Opposition is not illegal, just increases the chances of getting an accident.

Remove the dictatorship and you get a democratically elected gvt the US does not approve of. Now it's ppl on the gvt side that start having accidents.

Trump is now trying to walk back his press conference remarks by reading a brief statement to the press. Highlights include:

- When he said "I don't see any reason why it would be Russia" that interfered in our elections, what he really meant was "I don't see any reason why it WOULDN'T be Russia".  Simple mixup, y'see.

- See if you can pick out where the staff written part ends and Trump's own thoughts begin: "I accept our intelligence community's conclusion that Russia's meddling in the 2016 election took place. Could be other people also. A lot of people out there."

- Saying "full faith and support" for the intelligence community several times in a few sentences.

If this really is the foreign policy version of Charlottesville, he'll tear up the walkback again within a day or two to even more firmly state he believes Putin over America.  Good times.

Trump really thinks we are all of bunch of idiots.  He literally has no respect for the people of the united states.

This 'clarification' of his statements in Helsinki is a joke.

I believe the intelligence community 100%.  It was the Russians, or maybe it was someone else...lol what a lunatic.  He can't even stay on target when he has piece of paper in front of him that he is supposed to read.

In some ways, this is even worse than what happened in Finland.

At this point, congress needs to get the records from the interpreters in the private portion of the one on one with Putin.  Trump claims he was 'negotiating' issues with Putin.  What were those issues?  Congress has the power to subpoena those records.  They need to do it.

Calling it now....I bet some of this supporters will now say - "Trump said misspoke and didn't mean to say what he did on Monday. What do you want him to do? You liberals are never happy with what Trump does. Obama lied to...remember when he said 'you can keep your doctor'...."

Seems like a slam dunk executive privilege situation. Dead end.

all of this is disgusting and you should be ashamed of wishing and advocating for the death of millions of human beings.

this is not political discourse or discussion. it is a call for genocide and therefore should be banned here.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Really?  So even the congressional national security committees that have the highest security clearances wouldn't have a case?
