When Carmelo Anthony becomes a free agent this offseason, he will receive interest from at least the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. The Rockets have interest in trading for Anthony last offseason but were unable to agree upon a deal.Multiple sources said Mike D'Antoni would be fine with the Rockets signing Anthony despite their issues working together with the New York Knicks. The Lakers and Rockets are considered more likely landing spots for Anthony than the Heat.Anthony and the Oklahoma City Thunder are working on parting ways.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2018/07/09/how-exactly-will-the-kawhi-leonard-situation-end-and-other-lingering-nba-offseason-questions/?utm_term=.92e9c5ff8089
Watch out for Philly but they need to do some cutting if they want him

They got KO at PF and a lot of money committed to him (center already clogged with whiteside and Adebayo. Then you got Winslow and Richardson at small forward with winslow playing some small ball pf.
I think Carmelo is a net negative given his usage and shot profile combined with his weak possesion contribution and defense. If he actually played like a Eddie House type stretch 4 sure he'd be a net positive, but that's not going to happen.

The Heat don't have many means to get better. They have 12 players under contract (not counting Wade). He will put butts in the seats. He will make them better. Lots of reasons to sign him.

It was the opposite of that in the playoffs right? He is also only getting worse at his age.
