9 million per season for Randle

Smart still think he can get 12 million per season?

Randle signing in NO probably means they know Cousins is going elsewhere, right?

I think it’s probably more about them not wanting to resign Boogie than him going somewhere else voluntarily.

Seems like it. Looks like they got sick of waiting around for Boogie and jumped at Randle, which is probably a better fit anyways. Still don't think the Pels will be a playoff team next year but if they do manage to hold on to AD, it gives them a nice piece. A couple of Wildcats..

Frankly they would have to renounce Cousins to sign Randle outright unless it's a Rondo S&T.

Satisfying move.

I like NOP retaining it's identity as the anti small ball power squad. Great fit for Randle who can hopefully find his niche and take his place as an elite big next to Davis.

Kentucky connection strikes again. If NO had a down year I bet they'd throw everything at Calapari to try to keep Davis happy. Great offseason so far.

If AD wanted Randle he must either not want Mirotic or knows that Mirotic is leaving.

Mirotic is under contract for the 2018-2019 season.

LAL can match -- right?   Will they?  If not, why not?

Just see it now...he signs with Philly
All that fear and concern and worry over nothing.

Not everyone always signs with LA or philly folks.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Has Philadelphia ever been a free agent destination? The last "big" free agent they landed was Elton Brand I believe.

Some thoughts. This must be for the full non tax player MLE. I also don't think this means for certain that they move on from Cousins. Maybe the idea is they play Randle as essentially a Cousins replacement for the first half of the year while Cousins rehabs then he comes back and they trade off Randle to some team that needs some help. Pelicans get some help to stay in the race early then get an asset and Randle gets a lot of playing time. Or maybe they have a sign and trade lined up for Cousins. There really is no team that can offer him more than the Mid Level type money at this point, or at least none that would actually wnat him. So now maybe he has to resign for like 2/30 or something like that and New Orleans can ship him off for a SF somewhere.

should take some of the offensive and rebounding load off AD but his D will be like a sieve.
