It just doesn't make any sense to me. Not only does LA pass on the only guy who has consistently killed the Warriors for years, now, but in signing McGee, it actually makes it easier for Golden State to acquire Howard, LOL ;D.

Wait til its a big playoff game vs GSW and Javale gets rebound on offense and runs it back out with game tied! Lebron’s head will explode a second time like with Smith.

Dwight Howard is a problem I wouldn't want (and he would want more money). Howard's teammates have hated him at his last two stops. Who needs that when you have Ball there already.

I'm not Salty but by my math with KCP, James and Randles hold still on the books they have none. Of course if they rescind Randle QO that woudl open some up, something like 10 million ish I think. Next year they would have about 24 million if they go with 1 year deals, 42 if they trade deng and about 35 if they stretch him.

Lakers free agency:

Lebron 38.5m
KCP 12m
Lance Stephenson 4.5m
Javale Mcgee 2.4m

Total spent 57.4m

They had 39.1m on the books.

They offered the QO to Randle for 5.5m. 

So that adds up to 101.5m dollars used.

NBA cap is 101.9m dollars.

This pretty much uses up their cap space for this year.  I'm betting that the nonLebron contracts are all 1 year deals so they can be a major player for Kawhi come the following free agent period.

I understand, but if anyone can get the best out of Dwight Howard it has to be between Lebron and the Warriors, right? Well, D12 would probably love playing with Rondo, too, but yeah :-\.
