LeBron James legacy of one of the all time greatest and possibly the GOAT is secure at this time. By going back to Cleveland and winning a ring there he has redeemed himself from the ring chasing move to Miami. He is now seen as the most dominant player of an era with the finals appearance streak and the knowledge of basketball fans that Kevin Durant 's move to GSW robbed him of a number of rings. This is a pretty good legacy.

If LeBron embarks on another ring chasing bolt away from Cleveland he will be judged harshly. Not only will such a move revive all the bad blood and criticisms that followed 'the decision', it will create more pressure to win because if he moves and does not win his legacy will take a big hit as a player who ring-chased but still could not get it done.

This is why I think he stays in Cleveland. If he moves, he is going to choose a destination that almost guarantees a chip. Where is that?

The prodigal Cleveland son delivered Cleveland it's first title in 52 years.

He can go anywhere he wants, I think his legacy is intact.
