I like how people crap on players banning together to go after rings because it's easy to do that, but then crap on the guy who stays with a team he likes giving the league more competition.

Yes, RW does not think the world rotates around him like LeBron.   I bet it is killing Queen James that PG took the news headlines from him today!  He even made a show leaving showing up at LA at midnight but was overshadowed by Paul Goerge.   

LA might get Queen James and Cousins though.  But good luck beating GS with that.

Even though they will have an astronomical tax bill, this really is the best thing for OKC (and us). We’ve discussed it before, but if Lebron goes to LAL, maybe they will take Carmelo off their hands for one year. They will be running out of options soon.

I am not so sure about it but even if true LBJ gets you to the finals and gives you ball more often than not. What does RW do for PG ?

George didn't have to join the Lakers to form a superteam.  The point is that, last season a so called super OKC team didn't even get past the 1st round.  Call it lack of chemistry, RW side effect...whatever

That seems odd and like a poor strategy.  They could have made room for all three in terms of salary space, and unless they were 100% sure LeBron was in the bag, George and Leonard would have been a fine outcome for their offseason, or just George and then Leonard next year in FA.

Also, since they couldn’t technically talk to him and had already been given a fine for tampering with him once, how much could they really ghost someone who agreed to re-up at a big party in OKC at midnight?

This is not a good signal for the Lakers and Lebron. If James were going to LA, you figure George would have signed in LA. But his signing back in OKC could indicate Lebron is going elsewhere--likely, in my view, back to the Cavs. The Lakers are desperate at this point for another star to pair with James, and they have turned to Cousins.

James is scheduled to meet with the Sixers today. But the compatibility is questionable because of Simmons, who is really a big PG who needs the ball. Lebron is also a big PG who needs the ball. Leonard would be a better for the Sixers if they can get him while keeping Simmons and Embiid. Also, I wonder if James wants to play in the East opposite the Cavs. Playing games in Cleveland for another team might be trying for him at this stage.

A day later and I'm still laughing at this. 

All year long it felt like a given he was coming here. Lakers fans were obnoxiously screaming the same. Then they thought they could form a super-team with Kawhi/Lebron/Leonard.

Yet 1 minute into FA, George announces he's re-signing with OKC, and now there's a chance they end up with none of the 3 LOL.

Although I do hope Lebron goes to LAL. That keeps him away from PHI. As for Kawhi, idk anymore.
