Fantasy time. Celtics trade for the #2 pick and give back the king's pick. Celtics trade for the fourth pick and give the Grizzlies back their pick.

So the question is this assuming Ayton goes #1 and Jackson goes #3 to the Hawks what two players do you add to the Celtics.

I'm going with Bagley and Bamba. Holy crap that would be the biggest win ever for the Celtics.

Doncic and Bamba for sure. Can't see anyway Bagley and Bamba coexist.

2023 lineup of Kyrie-Brown-Doncic-Tatum-Bamba with old man Hayward as the 6th man is pure insanity
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

If we knew that Atlanta was set on a big, I guess I'd most like to get Jackson at 2 and then Doncic at 4. If Atlanta was going to take Doncic, I'd be fine with Doncic at 2 and either Bagley or Bamba at 4. Whichever Mike Zarren tells me to take.  ;)

I'm comfortable going with Big333223's preference.

I'm really liking Bagley. Isn't his only real downside his defense? And didn't we just learn not to discount Duke guys based on their defense in college?

I'd go Doncic and Bagley if both were available at those slots. I'd be happy with Doncic and Bamba if that was what was available though.

Even his defence is underrated I think. He's quite a solid defender, just not nearly as imposing (statistically and physically) as Bamba.

Honestly either would be awesome

I'm going completely off the wall, Bamba at 2 and Trae Young at 4.

Both develop this year behind Horford and Kyrie.  Next year, Kyrie walks, Young becomes the PG.

NBA people are comparing Young to Curry/Bibby right now.

Ewww. Young is either going to be a worse Steph Curry or a smaller Seth Curry. He is beyond woeful on the defensive end, and his shot selection is laughable

I've been listening to people (NBA Radio) rave about Young recently, and when you say "smaller", Curry is 6'3", 190lbs, Young is 6'2", 181 lbs.  I question that he is smaller, but I would say, at 19, he can probably bulk up where Curry won't.

He's an inch shorter than Curry. That matters, just like Curry's size matters.

Curry works because he's best shooter in NBA history and been one of the absolute best offensive players in NBA history for the past few years.

Trae Young has to be an absolute elite offensive player to work as a contributor given his size and lack of defensive ability, that's a tough ask and real concern for any team looking at drafting him.
