One of Rollie Massimino's  favorite phrases on shooting deep jumpers.
We missed to many early in the clock and they shot lights out.

Rollie got that from the Bible,
Quote
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
(Matthew 26, 26:52)

He moved in with Rollie!  i could beat him one on one BUT he was really young then.
i didn't play BNBL-i was supposed to go to Northeastern they had just placed two players in the NBA Harry Barnes and Rick Weitzman but that summer i tore up my knee so bad i could Never play competitive ball again.
A pa rt of me died that night under the lights playing a pickup game.Back then cartilage operations were in their infancy it kept happening and same sprained ligaments till i got to best in field-He thought it was one side side opened it up a bit said it was the worst knee he had seen in 10 years he left a 13 inch crescent scar he flapped it over-the scar looks like a great white bit me.Nobody has ever had a scar that could beat it.

I called him several years ago after over 50 plus years had passed"He goes i remember you.  You were the skinny kid that was all over the court
-That hurt not that i was his best shooter or co captain or nobody beat me one on one because  shot well from deep and off the dribble and had a crazy good first step.

so, you would like to old??  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
- Vandana Shiva

TP. I played for Mission Hill Roxbury BNBL summer of 1974. We had a good team, lost to West Roxbury and Ronnie Perry in playoffs. I outscored Perry though!

Ron Lee’s biggest HS rival was King Gaskins, who went on to play for Holy Cross.
