Move 1
Resign Marcus Smart. Whether he accepts Qualifying Offer ($6m) to remove restricted status for next year's free agency or agrees to a short term (2 years) meet in the middle annual salary of $13m/year.

Priority: 1st

Move 2
Find a center to take a similar deal as Baynes. Maybe it's Baynes. Maybe it's Alex Len. Mayb it's Nerlens Noel who could be a perfect CBS reclamation project.

Priority: 2nd

Move 3
Resign all worthy league minimum players from last year. Jabari Bird, Shane Larkin, Jabari Bird. This will fill out our bench. Larkin might command more per year which would be worth it if move 4 below comes to fruition.

Priority: 3rd

Move 4
Find a way to consolidate assets and redundancy on current roster to move up in draft or secure role player or both.

Scenario 1: Celtics trade Terry Rozier + Marcus Morris + Pick 27 to LA Clippers for Patrick Beverly + Pick 12 OR 13

Scenario 2: Celtics trade Marcus Smart (resigned @ 13m/year) + Marcus Morris + Pick 27 + 1 of MEM/SAC/LAC picks to Orlando for Nikolas Vucevic + Pick 6 (Mo Bamba)

Priority: 4th

BONUS Move

Swing for the fences and trade Tatum* + Horford + Every pick underneath the sun to New Orleans for Anthony Davis + Nikola Mirotic

*Yes, even with the amount of promise he showed, I trade Tatum for Anthony Davis given the return of an All Star SF in Gordon Hayward.

Not bad 1-3. Sure many on here have the same hope. #4 and the bonus probably harder sells. Rozier and Morris alone should get you 12 adding 27 is an overpay.

I'd actually try to trade Rozier and Yab to Magic for Jonathan Isaac. Gives the C's a PF prospect to develop. Magic can draft Bridges or Carter and not risk their high pick on the bigger gamble guy in Young. Magic can also continue to play Gordon at PF where he is a better match up. Rozier, Fournier, Bridges, Gordon and Vucevic wouldn't be a bad sqaud to roll out opening night.

How about Rozier and 27 for #13. We all know Doc does not like playing  Rookies so they would. It want to draft two more rookies. Trade takes place before the draft to give Celtics time to seek willing trade partners at 3, 4, or 5.

Then trade 13 + Kings Pick, another future 1st Round pick and Marcus Morris to Atlanta for No. 3. Draft either Bamaba or Bagley.

How about other GMs would want to deal with you all the time if you made a trade like that.  You would be on speed dial as those deals don't really make, us, the Celtics better.  You take our backup PG who recently proved himself and our best bench scorer and a ton of future picks to draft unproven rookies.   Not good in my book!

How about getting an elite Rim protector in Bamba that will be elite for over a decade. Smart can play PG and then you draft another one next year. Boston does not have a young Big to match Embid. That is the biggest need on the roster. Yes, I will trade picks and a backup for an elite rim protector. Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

are they twin brothers?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Cloned.  Pity the Larry version wasn't.  No foresight by Red.   ;)
