His best years were like that with Timmy Duncan!

So he wants the fame, fortune, and status that comes with being "the man", albeit with none of the responsibility ::). Interesting...
Not at all actually. He already has the responsibility and status, and he's leaving a boatload of money on the table by rejecting the supermax. The only one you got right out of the 4 is the "fame" part in terms of being in a bigger market and building his brand or whatever.

I'm just going off of the quote, man :-\.
Where does it say that?? I assume that fame, fortune and status comes under the aforementioned “attention”

1. Popovich isn’t the GM. He is out in 2 years so the spurs aren’t probably deciding things around him
2. Tatum and brown are already better than Kawhi

Lol, point 2 is only true if Kawhi is like, 70% the player he was before. If he returns to his peak form then JT and JB aren't close to that level yet

Point 1 is very true though.

Not that I’m aware of, but he beat him in a Finals series. Guess that pales in comparison ::)

He will definitively want some great young core in return, not a veteran or an injury-problem.

I know what the quote says.

I would gladly do SAC19, Smart S&T (if both Smart and Spurs are interested, who knows), Morris, Yabu, and whatever other picks it takes.

We could then comfortably wait to see what we want to do with Rozier next year (resign or trade or let walk).

We wouldn’t miss Smart’s defense all that much adding a player of Kawhi’s defensive prowess.

Morris wouldn’t be needed with Leonard, Hayward, Tatum eating 90+ mpg combined.

If it took Theis (would prefer to keep him though) or the Grizzlies pick too, I probably do it.

Man we would be ridiculous if this could happen without losing Brown or Tatum.
