So the raptors just scored their lowest scoring first quarter. Kadeem allen was part of that  group defending them. Made some hustle transition D plays and good perimeter D

Think he’ll make the roster next year or play summer league for the C’s?

it's a good question... I like the guy and wouldn't mind seeing him back

Kadeem is under contract next season as a 2-way player again.  If healthy, he will certainly be at summer league.  He will most likely be in Maine again next season, but it’s possible the Celtics will sign him to an NBA deal (if they trade Rozier and lose Marcus to free agency).  They are permitted to renogotiate his deal to an NBA deal this summer if they choose, but if not, he sticks on his 2-way contract and is a restricted free agent next year.

He’s not getting cut, but probably isn’t getting traded either (I can’t imagine his demand is terribly high).

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Kadeem Allen is one of my favorite defenders. I think he's very underrated, but as saltlover said, I cannot imagine demand is that high for him. Considering he's not that great at offense, cannot handle the ball that well, and he's a tweener, because he's too undersized to play the 2 well, and he's not justifiable to play make well enough at the 1.

He's definitely one of my favorite defenders to watch, so who knows?

Early in the season, I thought Kadeem could follow the Terry Rozier path, and give us a few years of Year 2 - level Rozier production.  I still think that’s not an unreasonable projection, and if we got a few years of competent 3rd string PG production from him at the NBA minimum, that would be a fine outcome for a pick in the 50s, and help us afford what will be a very expensive core.
