Boomer Esiasan called out Adam Silver this morning (CBS Radio Spot) for asking States to pay Leagues an "Integrity Fee" for participating in gambling, asking where was the commissioner's integrity when Lebron's broken hand after game 1, which not reported until after the Finals were over.

The league will have a lot of catching up to do with the NFL on reporting injuries with the advent of legalized gambling, something that Silver has been a huge proponent of.  This is the primary reason the NFL has strict rules about reporting injuries before each game.

Expect to see similar rules adopted by the NBA, probably before next season.
Uh the NBA already has similar rules and the NFL's "super strict" rules are flouted all the time. Most famously by the Patriots listing everyone with an injury for a while a few years ago.

If an NFL team covered up reporting an injury of this magnitude, especially in such an impactful game, I would imagine there would be serious penalties (financial, maybe loss of pick if repeat offender).

Windy has always been a bag man for Lebron.

Like others have mentioned, why screw things up with your meal ticket?  Windy isn't going to break something like that unless he's received the thumbs up from Lebron's team.

If you're looking for credible, honest, unbiased reporting, Brian Windhorst is probably one of the last people you want to start with.

He is to Lebron what Ahmad Rashad was to MJ.  Media public relations.

The thing is even if Windhorst knew exactly what happened with LeBron's hand, he likely knew because he was directly told by LBJ's camp or the team with an embargo till the finals was over.

Its not like he was following them in secret to wherever the MRI was done or has the training room bugged. His sources are largely the team and LBJ's camp. (not LBJ himself from what I understand)

i like the idea of windy hiding in the shadows and tailing Lebron to a secret MRI location.
