It can now be said we were a better match up to Warriors, that we would have given them a better series.
I am very happy being left with feeling of can't wait till next year rather than a humiliating defeat to Warriors.
It felt right watching Lebron get swept. Our young guys had played a long season and i'm just grateful they escaped injury. They can work on getting better not rehab.
There is nothing that will diminish the hope for next year. There was no humiliation,no beat down to carry around with them. They went seven games into ECF's with all the injuries. youth and out produced  the highest expectation. They bowed out unfulfilled and hungry for next year.
Rozier is ecstatic,Brown and Tatum touted as stars both Hayward and Kyrie have no structural or tissue damage and the young guys got the experience to build on.

Best of all Wyck loves these guys and is willing to spend.
A happy, hungry owner rebuilding this franchise, seeing major TV time and the whole league talking how they are set up and what an accomplishment.A new training center,a full arena and the respect of whole New England sporting community. And Wyck front row with the celebs.
Wyck has Ainge and Brad with Zarren all liking to come to work
All those Hall of Famers must like what they are seeing.

Posting from the future? ;)

I didn't like the way the Cavs got jobbed in Game 1.  Maybe if the game is called fairly -- or if George Hill / J.R. Smith / Ty Lue don't choke -- it would have been a more entertaining series.

I certainly hope Wyc decides to spend.  Going a few million into the luxury tax won't be nearly enough.

Nah, it can't be said that the injured Celtics would have fared better. GS is the best team of all time, and they are healthy. This current Celtics team is not the best team of all time. Also, they were missing their best player and at least their 3rd best player.

That we would have been a better match up or been a better series was in relation to the one Cleveland is playing
And it is easy to say because it didn't happen for one and that was the point Then two: Boston had a better defense than Cleveland and the Celts guard well against three pointers.

The Celtics are actually built to play GS...  Our constant defensive pressure has always given them fits....

It's the big Tank that is Lebron that we really can't account for.

Celts would have been swept as long as golden state wasn’t sleepwalking out of boredom like they did in the rockets series.

I still can't bring myself to agree with this.

we should have accounted for him except for 2 issues:
1) Kyrie, Hayward and Theis all out.  Any one of them should have tipped the scales in our favor.  Kyrie or Hayward certainly would have.
2) Rozier, Brown, Morris AND Smart all having the most putrid night of shooting combined in the worst game to have it in.  it's not like Cleveland's D made them take hurried or rushed or contested shots.  if they hit just one 3 each they'd still would have had a putrid night but the C's would have won.

Did you even watch the game? we lost because we choked, not because of Lebron

And yes if we advanced we most likely take GS to game 7, if the stars aligns we can even gentleman swept them.

But again, if we win it KI/Gordon may not have a role going on and Lebron will not want to join us, so it's not all bad.
