IF the Celts don't win the championship next season (everyone healthy) and nothing less,  does Kyrie still stick around the next 4-5 years?

Its too bad many folks in the media are debating this idea,  but the truth is nobody knows.

Should Danny try to sit down with Irving and Agent soon and try to gauge their interest in staying with the Celts organization after this season? (because we all know 90 percent chance he opts out)

If Irving and agent are unsure (play this season out).... would you then

A) keep him still, and go for it (try to win a championship)
B) chance of losing Irving for nothing would be a pretty big blow. Trade him to the highest bidder

99% confident.  And it’s not do or die to win the title next year if we want to keep Irving.  Not even close.

Kyrie is here to stay. He won’t sign an extension but he will sign a new contract with the C’s.

I will just ask everybody: Is there any better franchise currently in the NBA where you would play than Boston Celtics?

It might would depend on why we lost?

If there is terrible chemistry among the players, leading to wars in the locker room, leading to unnamed sources saying that Irving will be available when his contract runs out...

...oh, wait...we're the Celtics not the Kings.

Nevermind...99% sure.  1% reserved for that giant asteroid that everybody keeps saying is going to hit us one day.

I'm extremely confident IF both Kyrie and Hayward are healthy for a deep playoff run.  On the flip side, what if Kyrie misses 30 games and isn't the best version of himself during the post-season?  This would make things much more difficult for both sides.

I guess I would say that I'm 85% confident, with 10% of the concern falling strictly on the health of the team.  The other 5% falls on the fact that Kyrie isn't a homegrown Celtic.  Anything can happen within the crazy landscape of the NBA.

No point in obsessing over click bait nonsense. He'll almost certainly resign with Boston.

After the trade, I would have said 50%.  Now, I'll say 70%.

Stop buying into these press stories. They just want something to talk about or add drama to the Celtics being dominate next year.

Where is Kyrie going to go? Where is he going to find a better coach? Fans? Talent? Money? His pops played at Boston U. No one can pay him more than the Celtics and he's still young.

If game 6 and 7 wasn't evident that you need a Kyrie is crazy at this point.

I know there is always speculation on whether an impending FA will re-sign with their current team; however, if you are referring to Gorman's, "Kyrie Irving staying with Celtics long term is not a given," comment, he was referring to whether the Cs will want to re-sign Irving (if injury issues continue), not Irving leaving on his own volition.

That being said, I would have to put the chances at 95% if he makes it all the way to the end of his current contract without being traded. He may take a glance at other teams, but he will make the most money in Boston and has a ready-made championship team that will be good for at least a decade.

I do not think he will sign an extension this off-season, but it sure would be awesome if he did!
