**** healthy Cs end them starting next season, if they make it (of course, if we do too). They barely made it there this season, who knows what would have happened if CP3 hadn't been hurt.

We're playing the same "modern" brand of basketball the Warriors play, except they're better at basically every position.

Curry > Irving
Durant > Hayward
Thompson > Brown

and so on.

They're still young, their starting 5 is better than ours, they're deeper.

We have no chance.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Well hang on. You can't just constantly come out with these takes, lol.

Curry > Kyrie
Thompson > Brown
Durant > Hayward
Draymond = Al
Iguodala < Tatum
West < Baynes
Young << Smart
Livingston << Rozier
Bell = Theis
Looney < Morris
McCaw = Ojeleye

I'd also say that CBS is at least on Kerr's level of coaching. At least.

Even with their star players, the only significant difference by the start of next year will be KD over Hayward. Our role players are significantly better than theirs, particularly our bench guards vs theirs.

Additionally, if Tatum makes a similar sophomore jump to Brown (an 8 point increase would be nice, but doubtful!), then he's another guy approaching Draymond's level - a guy who is disgustingly overrated.

I can't wait for us to win in the next few years so posts like these can be laughed at

Ray had ankle issues when we acquired him.  He was 32 years old.  He played until he was 38.

Steph is 29.

Ray Allen was also one of the best conditioned athletes in the NBA, and took care of his body like nobody else. There's no evidence of Steph being like that

If Lebron goes to Houston, it's over next year.

If not, I'll give it 3 years.

But I'm surprised... if they actually extend Klay and Draymond, aren't they paying a MASSIVE luxury tax?? I thought the penalties and such got harsher the longer (in years) you pay it. Even if Durant takes a paycut they will still have to pay a big one... right??

Until Hayward and Irving return next season.

Only if Thompson leaves can it end early. I see them being the favorites at least the next 4 years.

ends next year when the C's take #18.  Depending on what Houston or San Antonio does in the offseason, C's may not even be playing GSW in the finals.

They will be a legit championship contender for at least the next 5 yeas if they stay relatively healthy and they keep KD, Curry, and at least one of Dray/Klay during that time.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

If Lebron joins Houston (aka that rockets team guts its depth and Lebron takes a paycut), it may end next year. If status quo, I can see them making an easy three peat. Will they go for four? Doubtful. So 4 rings for Curry, 3 rings for KD when it’s all said and done.
