Sixers open with best eastern title odds next year

Sixers are 7/2 to win the title same as the Rockets.  Celtics are 8/1.  Warriors of course lead the way at 5/4.  The Cavs are 30/1.

I doubt anyone on the team cares about this, let alone letting it become "a chip on the shoulder". Also we didn't have very high title chances last year, and Tatum wasn't the best rookie (during the regular season at least, which is when ROY voting happens).

I'm confused... even if they think Lebron is going to the Sixers, then why are the Lakers odds so high (at 20/1)?? Paul George isn't carrying them to contention LOL. Now if they add George AND Leonard.. maybe, but unless they add Lebron and/or Leonard their odds should not be that high. Honestly makes no sense.

Playing both sides at this point?  Philly’s odds are better because that’s lebrons likeliest destination but lakers also possibility so increased odds too.  Same thing happening with Cleveland.  Obviously, if Lebron is not there their odds are nowhere near 30-1.  But he might stay there.

I’m guessing the odds on certain teams hinges on free agency.

I’m certain by the time training camp rolls around they will look significantly different.

Philly fans probably bet stupidly.  Vegas knows they’ll get action even at 5/2.  Plus, they need to hedge against free agency.

This will all change before the season starts but right now C's should be the clear cut favorite to win the east.
