1. Let Marcus Smart walk. (Too much money)
2. Sign Nerlens Noel. (2 years 27m)
3. Trade Pick 27 + Sacramento Pick to Memphis for pick 6.
4. Draft Luka Doncic at pick 6.

*If Doncic is gone draft Mo Bamba. If this scenario plays out don't sign Noels and do re-sign Smart.

New Team:

Irving/Rozier/Larkin
Brown/Doncic or Smart/Bird
Hayward/Tatum
Morris/Theis/Ojeleye/Yabusele
Horford/Noels or Bamba
How on earth are we gonna sign Noel? The C's have zero cap space available (no matter what happens with Smart).
noel will take whatever we have

Mle, bi annual. Maybe even minimum. The guy can barely get pt on the mavs

on the brinbrig playing in europe
Non-Taxpayer MLE starts at $8,568,000. The contract runs for up to four years with 5% annual raises. The C's cannot possibly offer Noel ''2 years 27m''.

Only way we can get Noel is via a sign-and-trade.

Who is offering Noel more than the MLE?

He has a terrible reputation right now. Injury prone, me-first, a malingerer.
Well, apparently Fireworks_Boom! would be willing to offer him 2 years 27m.

Anyway, what I meant to say was ''only way we can land Noel on that big of a contract is via a sign-and-trade''.

But yeah, I couldn't agree more with you. The fascination on this forum with Noel is only comparable to the fascination with Okafor. Different players of course, but I don't think either of them would be a good fit for our system.

At least now that we got Monroe (who was practically unplayable during the playoffs) people have stopped posting about Okafor (= very similar player to Monroe).

I think Noel is a bad fit for our offense and we all know that CBS can only coach stretch bigs which Noel is not.

I'd like to use Dirk Nowitzki as the backup center at 10 minutes a night on a one year deal.

It would feel all kinds of wrong seeing him in green and not blue

Likely out of our price range, but it would be amazing if Danny Green was interested in playing in Boston for the full MLE.

1) Hayward and Irving come back healthy
2) Sign Dirk for the minimum and Danny Green for the full MLE
3) Let Smart and Baynes walk

PG: Irving, SG: Brown, SF: Hayward, PF: Tatum, C: Horford

PG: Rozier, SG: Green, SF: Morris, PF: Theis, C: Nowitzki

SF: Ojeleye, 2018 first round draft pick

Dude he is done. will be slower than Monroe on the defense. Lets not live in the past.. Its like your wishing we get D. Wade who is also done.

Have fun guessing as to which, if any, of these points are sarcastic, lol ;D -

1). Hire me.

2). Use the 27th overall pick on Rawle Alkins and sign Ben Lammers as an undrafted free agent.

3). Have someone teach Brad Stevens the advantages/values of post play and traditional big men, not to mention midrange jumpers.

4). Buy Jaylen Brown a pair of Ball Hog Gloves.

5). Trade Rozier to Minnesota for Justin Patton.

6). Let Baynes and Smart walk.

7). Sign Tyreke Evans.

8. Either sign/trade for another playmaking, defensively oriented PG/SG.

9). Trade Yabusele for a lifetime's supply of French croissants of my choosing/authentic Belgian Waffles.

Kyrie and Gordon come back 100 percent healthy and are able to integrate into the ball-sharing and "next man up"attitude.

Resign Baynes and Smart to reasonable deals and Rozier accepts the backup PG role one more year.

Draft Wagner or the kid out of Nova with the first round pick
There, fixed it for you.  What you had written was not best-case but likely case.

Realistic Best Case
1. Irving and Hayward are both 100% by the start of the season
2. Lebron signs with Lakers or some other western team that isn't the Rockets or Warriors (or if he stays in the East stays in Cleveland)
3. Sixers strike out in free agency and don't acquire anyone in trades (like say Leonard)
4. Smart signs for the qualifying offer
5. Baynes comes back at the MLE

Dreamland Best case
1a. James agrees to a sign and trade for Horford and Tatum
1b. Leonard and Mills are acquired for Irving, BOS 1st, filler
3. Smart re-signs on a reasonable deal, say 4 year, 40 million
4. Baynes re-signs for MLE
5. Monroe re-signs at 20% for 1 year, with a team option for year 2
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
