Now that the postseason is over (at least for the C's :P), what's your best-case scenario for the offseason? Please try to keep it realistic. No LeBron opting in and forcing his way to Boston, no Davis/Kawhi/KAT trade etc.

I'll go first:

1. The C's make 2 draft night trades.

- They trade Rozier to the Clips for #12.

- They give the Grizzlies back their 2019 pick + the Kings 2019 pick + #12 + #27 + Yabu for #4.
(the Grizzlies have no use for Rozier cause they already have Conley)

The C's use the #4 pick to draft Mo Bamba.

2. Marcus Smart re-signs on a reasonable contract.

3. The C's sign Wayne Ellington via the MLE.
(alternatively, they split their MLE among Belinelli and Ilyasova)

We then fill the remaining roster spots with vet minimum contracts (Larkin ? - Casspi ?).

Kyrie - Smart - Larkin
Brown - Ellington
Hayward - Semi - Casspi
Tatum - Morris
Horford - Bamba - Theis

- draft Khyri Thomas
- re-sign smart for $11 mill a year or less
- Re-sign Baynes & Larkin
- Let Monroe and Nader walk
- Trade Rozier for a big man prospect. Phoenix may be willing to part with Bender- who I think will blossom into a fantastic PF/C- if they draft Ayton.
- most importantly: get Irving, Hayward, and Theis healthy !

2018-19 opening day roster

K. Irving , S. Larkin , K. Thomas (eventually eclipse Larkin)

J. Brown , M. Smart , J. Bird

G. Hayward , M. Morris , S. Ojeleye

J. Tatum , D. Theis , G. Yabusele

A. Horford , A. Baynes , D. Bender (eventually eclipse Baynes)

Am I missing anyone?

CELTICS

1. Re-sign Smart at around 4/44M (or some 2-4 year deal at 11M/Year)

2. Bring back Baynes using MLE, re-sign Larkin at minimum

3. Let Monroe go, cut Nader

4. All our guys rest up and get healthy for next season  8)

5. Find a way to trade up and select either Jaren Jackson Jr. or Carter (I'm high on both). I'm guessing Rozier would be in a hypothetical trade package, so we'd be "selling high" on him. BUT if we can't trade up, I'm fine keeping Rozier for next year as good depth. As for what we do with #27... I honestly have no clue lol. Tons of directions to go (small trade up, a trade down, simply draft with pick, or draft a Euro stash, etc... I just don't know. I'll trust Ainge here)

AROUND THE NBA

1. PRAY Lebron and/or Kawhi doesn't go to Philadelphia (If they acquire either, then unfortunately PHI is better than us on paper and no doubt the favorites in the East for the foreseeable future)

2. Lebron stays in Cleveland and they don't add much OR Lebron simply heads West

3. Toronto and Washington blow it up a bit (ex. trade away one of their stars for future assets)

4. Milwaukee doesn't add another star player (I mean, with a new coach and Giannis + Middleton already there.. it'd be ideal for us if they DON'T add another star)

5. Kawhi stays in San Antonio (partly because I respect the Spurs organization, but also so that he is not an option for the Lakers or Sixers to acquire)

Really on Conley? He's 30 and is coming off a 12-game season. They really need someone that can stay healthy and Rozier is the guy.

I hear what you're saying, but Conley is on a max contract till 2021. The way I see it, there is no way they pay Rozier in 2019 while they already have Conley at the PG position.

keep the 2019 protected picks, Morris, and Rozier
sign Baynes and Larkin
Smart takes the QO
Monroe and Nader leave
use #27 pick and FA for frontcourt depth

Have a good draft and try to keep guys at a reasonable cost. I'd hope for

C's trade Rozier, Morris, 57 and Sac pick to Magic for picks 6 and 41.
C's draft JJJ. I have sliding to there.

C's draft Melvin Frazier at 27 and Devonte Graham at 41.

C's get Smart at QO
C's retain Baynes at MLE 3 years.

Irving/Graham
Brown/Smart/Bird
Hayward/Semi/Frazier
Tatum/JJJ/Yab
Horford/Baynes/Theis

Can't see the Magic making that trade.  Teams with top lottery picks don't trade them for mediocre players like Rozier.  You don't even include the #27 and then you have them throwing in the #41.  BTW, we don't have any 2nd rounders this draft.

Rozier had incredible numbers as a starter and his playoff run wasn't bad despite his last game. Some people feel he is worth a 8-12 pick alone. Magic tried trading for Rozier once already so they have interest. Kings pick is also going to be top a lottery pick that's a lot for the 6th pick. I see Morris as more than equal for pick 41.

Yeah that goes to OKC, I forgot. I put moved because we can't have two 2nds due to roster size. So scratch it.

Terry Rozier, Guerschon Yabusele and #27 to the Clippers for #12 and Patrick Beverly

#12 pick and 2019 Grizzlies Pick for pick #9 ( Wendell Carter )

Part of the MLE for Joe Harris

Resign Marcus Smart 4yr/ 40-45 million

Shane Larkin for vet min

Can players with a player option be traded? I’d love for the C’s to trade for Dwayne Dedmon if possible to add frontcourt depth.

Al Horford         Wendell Carter   Dewayne Dedmon
Jayson Tatum    Marcus Morris    Daniel Theis
Gordon Hayward  Joe Harris       Semi Ojeleye
Jaylen Brown     Marcus Smart   Jabari Bird
Kyrie Irving       Patrick Beverly  Shane Larkin

Agree with Pho on this one. Anything else that happens I'm meh with. The most important thing is health. That lineup will be nasty next year.
