I know I might be in the minority but I like Noel and think a change of scenery will help him as he is a solid defender and rebounder.

He could be serviceable if he could just catch some lobs from kyrie

If we lose Baynes, I’d like to see us take Noel. I’m warming up to the idea

I'll second Beasley. Sometimes we just need buckets.

On his best day he's a rich man's Marcus Morris; I'd definitely pick him up if possible.

I think the rotation is solid as is and any potential upgrades will probably come real expensive. I doubt we’ll have enough space assuming we will resign Smart. With that in mind, there are 2 slots I’d want to fill up:
1. Wise old vet who will help keep things in line and will provide a steadying hand to a team. He doesn’t need to play a single minute, tbh. David West maybe? Idk
2. Sparkplug who will change the game with his energy for nights when the team plays lethargic. Larkin currently fills this role

A Point guard.  I think one of Smart or Rozier is not with us next season, and Kyrie is not an 82-game player.  Brad will get said the third PG ample minutes next season (see Larkin, Shane) even when the roster is healthy, and obviously we’ve learned that such an assumption is aggressive on any given day.  If Ty Lawson has given up alcohol, I’d give him a look.

In the playoffs Brad will probably only go 8 deep and after the starting five you’ll have some combo of Rozier, Smart, Morris, Theis, Baynes.... and maybe all of them.

Jason Terry. I want him back just so that his tattoo prophecy can come true.

Tyreke Evans  would be a great fit here.  But I don't know if he's looking for a 'payday' contract, so he might not join.  What about Favors to give us some beef at the PF position?

We'll have the MLE or taxpayer's MLE.  Room exception is for teams under the cap.

The MLE exception numbers (rounded) for the 2017/18 season are below.  For each subsequent season, the exceptions go up by the same % that the salary cap does.

Taxpayer MLE  5.2M             above the luxury tax apron
non-taxpayer  MLE   8.4M     below the apron but above the cap
Room MLE  4.3M                  below the cap

There's also the bi-annual exception but it can't be used if you use the taxpayer or room MLE and can only be used every other year.  It is 3.3M for 2017/18.

The exceptions can be split across multiple players.

When JJ Reddick praised the C's a week ago in some podcast and said TD Garden was like the loudest playoff arena he'd ever played in, I dreamed of the possibility of signing him as a ring chaser. I doubt it happens this year as he'll get paid somewhere, but maybe a few years down the line it can happen  8)

I've wanted Reddick for years.  Imagine the looks he'd get in Stevens' system.
