He would have been a difference maker with his length, defense, motor, switchability and rebounding..He was important piece of the non all star team.

Yep, I bet CBS would have put him on Thompson.

Baynes is strong enough to battle in the post, but he is too slow to move laterally.

The opposite goes for Horford. He is quick enough, but he gets outmuscled in the paint(-->rebounds).

Theis would have been the ideal matchup for us vs. Thompson. Chances are that he would have been starting over Baynes.

Reminds me how badly we missed Avery Bradley back the 2012 ECF v. the Heat.  Not a super star but doing just was needed.

We definitely miss Theis. I would have him on Nance and keep him off the boards and Theis would block some shots as well.

sure are

pretty everybody NOT named Smart are scard to put a body on James , to wrap him up , NOT give him free dunks , make him shoot freethows .

nobody on the Celtics teams of the 70 s and 80 s would have let Lebron  have all those free dunks , everybody just standing there watching it happen .    Never would have happened , or people would have been benched for NO defense.

Pathetic effort  to get in front of him or box him out by our bigs .

Agree...Theis was getting better and better, he's 25 years old, and on a rookie contract. He was a huge loss for these playoffs. So active on D and finding his outside shooting too.

Oh yeah he would have been very good to have both against MIL and this CLE team. He was our stretch big other than Horford and did a good job at it.

But that's basketball, others have to step up.

not just celtics. rambis, rodman, laimbeer, mahorn, chocolate thunder, moses malone would have pummeled lebron physically and a few woulda knocked him out i guarnatee. lebron plays in a sissy league now where he is protected. it is a joke.

LBJ is 6' 8" 280 and moves like a SF still at 33.

I think he'd do just fine in the more physical league of yesteryear.

Well there is almost no chance he'd still be playing at this level at this age, for one thing. He'd be way too banged up. And considering how much he whines if he receives any physical defence (which is rarely allowed) I'm not so sure.

I'd love to see him try and impose his will on Darryl Dawkins or Karl Malone, lol. He's protected like I've never seen

never said he would not do fine scoring or rebounding. i said he would get pounded and we have no clue if he could withstand it mentally or emotionally. i think not. look how he cries and whines now.  those other guys would make him pay. i watched them.
