The last time we played a game that mattered this much was June 2008.

The years after then until 2012 were trying to repeat...not as important since we'd already won, and it was always a bit desperate.

Last year we never had a shot.

This year we can make the NBA Finals by beating a team we know we can beat, playing on our home court.

If we lose this game, at this point it's a letdown, screw the "house money" theory. Screw the "they're young" story. Brown, Tatum, Rozier, and Horford need to come up big.

It's a big game.

Biggest game in 8 years.

2010, up 12 with 4 minutes to play in game 7 to win the NBA title was the last really big one for Boston.

2012 game 6 in Boston vs Miami was also big

But yes...biggest game since the rebuild started.

I would say game 7 2010 was big.....game 6,7 to get back in 2012 were big as well. But in regards to this new rebuilt celtics it is the biggest game.

its another step in the celtics 'process" and to beat lebron in game 7 to get to the finals without 2 of our all-stars would be a big step. and you have to feel that this isnt the last of these big games in the near future.

you have to like the celtics trajectory. 2 all-stars in Kyrie/Hayward returning next year. and you have 2 budding young stars in jaylen/tatum
