Yes, they should be there at each game, home or away.

That being said, I care about a million other things more than this. I want to like Irving and Hayward. I see no reason to make an issue about them, especially if I don't know why they weren't there.

But yeah, you always want to see the injured guys at the end of the bench.

it's professional sports.  Players are only required to do what is spelled out in their contract.  Patriots players who are healthy but declared 'inactive' on game day typically go home instead of hanging around the stadium to watch the game/support the team.

That 'give all for the team' stuff is for high school and amateur sports.

This is the ECF

really?

Per your account if the Celts win it all, they should just stay at home then.

At the end of the day it should be about the team.  Unless you can't walk, wife is in labour etc.

Unless it's spelled out that the ECF should be treated differently than other games, I don't see how this refutes his point.

If they weren't...  it is disappointing

I have only seen both at game 1.

Why aren't these guys attending games to support their teammates?

You're like a girl in high school running around telling made-up gossipy stories about everyone to stir up discontent.

Here's the reality: you know absolutely nothing about what is really happening, or how any of the relevant parties feels about anything.

naw.  you're the one stirring up trash

the reality is they should be there to support their teammates.   They were there at game 1.  Should be there at all the home games remaining (at least).  1 game away from making the finals and they are not going to attend and support?

All you do is makeup weak excuses

Where is Gordon Hayward rehabbing, currently?

What is his daily schedule?

What are his limitations on physical activity and travel?

How would attending games affect his rehab activity and schedule, if he is not currently rehabbing in Boston?

What, if any, instructions on attending or not attending games has he been given by ownership?

You know everything, apparently. Let's start with those questions. Because if you can't answer even those simple questions, then you know **** about **** in terms of what's going on.

apparently they were willing to attend game 1.  It is up to them ultimately if they want to attend.  You think Danny will tell Hayward not to attend game 5, because he has to continue with his rehab? The rehab center will not let him attend the game because there is a critical session 6am sharp the day after?

Are you done making up weak excuses?

It would be nice to see them attend (at least home games).  I hope to see them for game 7 (if it comes down to it). And at the finals.

Hayward is in Indiana. He’s rehabbing for 8 hours per day.

I’m not sure about Kyrie, but he’s attended several games.

So you don't know the answers to any of the questions. Thanks.

FYI, since you can't be bothered to Google, Hayward was still rehabbing in Indianapolis and flew home for the weekend to attend game 1:

Quote
Brad Stevens said Gordon Hayward returned to Boston from his rehab work in Indianapolis and will be with the Celtics on Sunday for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And Hayward himself says that he's been there, working early till late:

Quote
I’ve been in Indianapolis for the last couple weeks making some really good progress. I leave the hotel every morning at about 9:30 am and don’t get back til about 6 pm. We do a lot of running mechanics, physical therapy, a lift of some sort, and then court work for another few hours. It’s a full day, every day. I’m definitely moving along as planned, and progressing really well.

So a fair reading of all that is, going to every game would disrupting his rehab schedule. He's in Indianapolis rather than Boston for a reason, which has been described earlier as being because that's where this important running specialist does his work.

But don't let me stop you from dying on that hill - keep going. Tell us more about how you know what players should be doing, for the betterment of the team and themselves.

I already said my piece. No point to add

I just hope they don't plan to only attend game 1 of the ECF and for example game 7 of the finals

Hayward is rehabbing in Indianapolis where he returned after Game 1. Kyrie was on the bench for games 1 and 2 along with Theis and Larkin. He did not travel with the team to Cle but has been a regular fixture around the team according to Brad and has attended the home games.

http://kwese.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23587082/brad-stevens-boston-celtics-coach-says-killing-kyrie-irving-not-play-cleveland-cavaliers

Personally I’m not worried. More important to get himself right than play a rah-rah kumbaya role at the bench during games. Kyrie is probably conscious of not creating a distraction or messing up what’s going on with the team right now by inserting himself into the picture.

Bravo.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yup, sat behind the Celtics bench.  Reportedly had his Cs jersey with him as well.

I'd much rather they continue with rehab. Off season isn't that long.
