I am no expert so asking some of you guys what you think - if Marcus can get 12 to 14 mil from some team, would a sign & trade be smart/doable? What are some ideas some of you can come up with?

Could he be used in a S & T as a piece to get a big star despite the new sign and trade rules?

i'd be interested in a marcus smart for jamychal green sign and trade..green is a free agent in 2019 so he wouldn't kill cap flexibility going forward, also helps out the front line defensively and spreads the floor.

You can sign and trade, but you lose one extra year due to the new rules. Then again if anyone wants to sign and trade Smart for over 14 million, then I all I can say is good luck.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Sign and trade rules make them extremely hard to pull off. You basically need one team to be far under the cap, but we're over the cap and anyone doing a sign and trade instead of signing him outright would be over the cap, too
I'm bitter.
