I know it's the free tidbit, and not the whole thing (not giving ESPN any money ;) ), but I thought this was a very accurate description of where Tatum can improve.

Citing Rip Hamilton as a guy to model his off-ball game was something I'd never thought of, but really like. Rip had a good mid-range game, as does Tatum, and with our big bodies (Baynes, Theis, Mook and Horford) Tatum could get some awesome looks off the ball. Having Hayward as another playmaker on the wing will really help this too, as he's an excellent passer.

I know it's for TV, but if JT takes this to heart and works on it this summer (after our championship parade, of course) he could be an absolute assassin next year. Can't wait to see what happens

Tatum can do a lot better in terms of getting open and getting the ball in rhythm to shoot. It’s a really good observation.

I would rather Tatum bulk up and fashion his game after the freak...

Why? He’s got an amazing stroke from 3 and from mid-range - why try and turn him into an interior player?? Would be a waste.

It also wouldn’t work because Giannis basically is Milwaukee’s offence, whereas we have Kyrie and Gordon, plus Horford, who will likely be our main playmakers

He won’t lose his range, but he will be a better finisher at the rim than he is now.

Do you mean try to drive to the hole every time and look lost when he can't get there.   Tatum already has more skills than the Freak.

I like the attention JT is getting.
From the free clip that I can watch, Kobe suggest JT to use the screen to get 'pocket' space to shoot open (long) 2s.
I think in the 3pt NBA era, that seems to be an inefficient shot.

Tatum is going to really improve when the refs finally give him some calls when he goes to the basket.  Jason gets hammered with no calls more than any other Celtic player.  But I agree, Tatum is already better than the Freak, and he doesn't have the pampered attitude.

Agree with this video. Tatum needs to attack on the catch more consistently, and he needs to do a better job of moving off-ball to get the ball to his spots.

Hand strength could use a little work I guess. He loses the ball pretty often when making the final transfer to shooting motion on a contested drive.

This too shall come.  I have full faith in his ability to continue to grow throughout his career.
Yup

I feel like similar plays could be used for 3's though, especially with Brad at the helm. It's really just about JT's off-ball movement. Once he locks that down, watch out world

crazy to think just how good Tatum could be in a year or two. hes already dominating playoff games at 20.

These little things will come with time. And a big thing will be getting respect from the refs.

my preference is for tatum to play tougher defense. he has not been as consistent with his effort as i would like. nor has he been as tough and hard-nosed as he can be.

brown should serve as an example of defense for him.

as for his offense, he will be just fine and be even better soon.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
