So, if we don't win a ring next year, does Kyrie get traded?

You mean we don’t win a title, he opts out, we re-sign him and then trade him after that?  A little confused...

Right, he has an option following year. I'm just curious as to whether he really only has one crack at winning (with Horford Hayward) then the team probably moves on, let's him walk.

I think people underestimate Kyrie here in Boston. I think he is the main cogs for several years. He is not just a rental.

Why would we do that..?

Regardless of what happens next year I think it's likely that he re-signs for the max with the Celtics. And it will be worth it.

Are we not watching the Finals right now..  Yes, Defense wins Championships but Elite Shotmaking is also a must.

KI is one of the best if not the best shotmakers in the game today.. Why on earth would we trade him.

He'll be traded long before we win the championship next year.

We need to make room for Lebron, right?  :o
Yup

Yeah. Kyrie is firmly in our long-term plans. I see him here for the next 6-8 years at least, barring Danny pulling some wacky trade out of nowhere.

Which, now that I mention it, is a definite possibility
