CBS Sports Mock Draft has Celtics taking Mitchell Robinson with our 1st round pick.

Hope they're right!

Better high risk high reward pick than Yab that's for sure.

too early to write off Yabu.

this could be more like the Fab pick from several years ago.  another pick where Danny took a high risk/high reward big man that didn't pan out.

Agreed. But sometimes if you keep swinging you eventually connect, hit it out of the park. We may have the luxury of taking the risk.  Need a long term 5 to invest in, the sooner the better.

ESPN Mock drops him to early 2nd round now. Man I’d love to take a chance on him with our first round pick.

Still think Lakers or someone like the Bucks will pounce on him.

So basically ESPN doesn't believe he has a promise in the 1st round I guess.

He has a private Instagram account but luckily he accepted my follow request a few months ago.

Today he posted a photo of him in a Celtics t-shirt.

I’ll share the image once I figure out how to attach it.

Coincidence or ....... ?

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I’ve posted this several times and will say it again: Robinson was more impress than Ayton or Bamba in HS All Star game a couple of years ago. Great energy. Defense. Shot blocking. What we should be in the market for.

High risk high return kid.

That's all well and good, but how's his work ethic and motor, not to mention skill level?

Since we literally only have HS to work off of, the picture is fuzzy. Work ethic, who knows. Skill level, pretty raw.

But even in the worthless dregs of HS basketball, his in game motor was off the charts. It's almost like he understood that he could outwork others to get the rebound or a loose ball. That's rare for a basketball player who has the physical gifts he does. 7'1 and can run like a deer, yet felt a need to hustle more than players 4 inches shorter than him.

Exactly. That is what distinguishes him from Ayton and Bamba. Much greater sense of urgency in court. Phenomenal on the offensive boards and blocking shots. Would def fill a need for our squad.

While we obviously still need to gather any/more information about his work ethic, etc., this is good to know. Thanks, guys. TPs for the both of you :).

Some recent mocks have him sliding out of first round. Seems teams are very wary of his aloofness, perhaps immaturity.

Seems more likely now that he will be available at 27.

It's a shame if he doesn't make it in this league. IMO, Kid is more talented than Ayton and Bamba, at least in high school he was.

Does Danny gamble?

Maybe not. Seems like there will be some ready made guards at 27 who can contribute right away, and we may need to hedge in case we lose Smart in FA.

He's far quicker, mobile, than Jermaine.
