The studio experts save Paul Pierce are still in full doubt mode..

Lebron James has been to 8 straight finals.  Its hard to bet against him down 1-0 in a series.

Then do not bet on him, but bet on the fact that his team is terrible at defense.

if we keep going to rim and scoring it really doesnt matter what lebron does if we keep covering others. cavs have no D. CBS will keep exploiting that.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

One game.

Now it gets real. Cavs were not prepared to get hit in the mouth like that. I expect they’ll respond with a lot more purpose Tuesday.

Well....  I went on a day trip with my wife, who was not aware there was a game today (she is a serious non-sports fan and oblivious to everything sports related) -- opted for a nice Mother's Day rather than the game.   Not resentful to my wife at all -- actually had a great day -- but a little peeved that Game 1 had to be on Mother's Day.  Anyway, just got home thinking I may catch the last minute and saw the score.   Wow -- I think I would have been smiling all game long.

If anyone has a minute to give me your synopsis -- who played well? Any surprises?  Was it a start to finish blowout?  Did Cavs threaten at any point?  Did the C's game plan well v. LBJ and take him out of his game, or did he just have an off game?  Broadcasters blame it on Cavs rust -- any credit to the C's???
Most complete game C's have played this year. Cavs were stunned...

Would love to have seen it!!!   Maybe my not watching was the key factor -- hope not.

Wonder if/when NBCSB show a replay?   If anyone can tell me how to watch a replay of the game I'd really appreciate it -- explain clearly -- not very internet savvy.

Highlights for you, but just be aware that Momma There Goes That Man and Notorious JVG were calling the game, hence why I decided to watch without the sound on, lol ;D.

caught the game on tape delay.  may be my last C's game if I can't get a viable stream (no ESPN and some of the options offered by other helpful posters still seem to freeze/buffer) or they don't make the finals.

observations:
- Al and Jaylen were huge for us.
- Tatum and Rozier need to improve their D.  Tatum has to stop flying by anyone who head fakes on the 3.  takes him out of the play and the man just has an open lane to the hoop.  Rozier was just out of position a lot and was getting driven right by too often.
- Morris came up big on D and was much better on the boards.  Offense was better too
- Baynes didn't produce much except against Thompson.  Thompson doesn't have the ability to drive with the ball in his hands so he seems to be the only Cleveland big he can body up down low.
- Smart needs to quit jacking 3's.  one open shot a game I can live with but not what he was hoisting today.  missing wide open ones.
- Cavs didn't play good D but I would expect that to improve somewhat.  would also expect their shooting to improve, particularly on the open shots they missed.  If C's continue to drive to the hoop over shooting jumpers, they should continue to be able to outscore the Cavs.
- Cavs got a generous whistle in some stretches. Think it'll get more generous next game and the rest of the series to make sure it stays a competitive game and series.

bottom line, C's gutpunched the Cavs and they weren't expecting it.  The Cavs looked like they were expecting last year's Celts.  Still think the C's are the better team and will pull this out but I expect Lebron to come out really motivated to return the heavy hit they took today.

Pierce will always think of himself as a Celtic.

No problem :). If you'd like a YouTube channel specifically devoted to the Celtics, this guy makes great highlight videos, imo. Hopefully, I didn't forget anyone, btw, lol.

I've never heard of him either.

I want to say that he's one of those fake wrestling personalities, but I honestly have no idea as I've never watched any of that stuff, so yeah, I guess that I missed the memo on this one, lol ;D.

You want to read some fan denials, here you go.

Yeah I went there to check it out as well.  There are only a small handful of any people posting there that give the C's any credit for the win at all.  Pretty much, Lebron is doing his typical check things out in the first game to see what will work, our guys will never shoot that bad again.  C's are beating us with role players - that was my favorite lol.

I would hope that we aren't such huge homers here, but how can you tell with celtics glasses,

I imagine if we win game 2 that blog will get even more interesting and panicky.
