This game won't be easy. PHI will try to come out firing and feed of their crowd's energy (especially early), so what the C's have to do is simply weather the storm. They did that successfully in Games 4 and 6 of the MIL series and kept it close before unfortunately MIL pulled away late. I think our experience could come real handy here though.

Not rocket science, but again going to need Horford, Rozier and Tatum to all ball out again. Morris I think will be an X-factor. We may need him to hit his shots and score in bunches to keep us in the game. Simmons won't score just 1 point tonight, but game plan should obviously remain the same (keep him away from the paint). Let Embiid score 30, so long as we *contain* their other shooters.

I do think that if there's one thing "missing" in this playoff run, or if there's something left for the C's to do, it's win a road playoff game. If this youth and our rookies win their first road playoff game, it will be huge for momentum possibly going into next series, or even just going forward (into next season). Huge confidence boost for this young group. Getting that checked off tonight would be nice.

LETS GO C'S!!!  8)

We didn't manage to win a road game against the Bucks. Let's see if this team can finally learn how to win on the road in the playoffs.

Agree, this is worrisome to me to some extent.

It's a big part of developing as a legit contender. We forget that the majority of this lineup is as young and inexperienced as the Sixers, if not more. Other than Horford and to a lesser extent Morris, the main core of this playoff group is very young. Learning to win playoff games on the road is a process.

Belinelli, Reddick, Ilysaova, Amir Johnson are all solid vets on the Sixers too.

This wouldn't be a problem if Kyrie and Hayward are in uniforms. Kyrie has demonstrated he can win on road playoff games (and especially being down 3-1 in championship series).

Celtics need to play like their life depends on it in this game if they want to win. Ben Simmons will have a breakout game so anticipate that.

The difference between being up 2-0 and 3-0 are very huge in a mental standpoint.

We have better shot with Smart playing , he loves screwing the away fans fun.  Kyrie and his back breaking daggers is what we need for those away .....we were good with Kyrie or IT on th road.

i agree, a win here seals the series in 5 games. but i think the most probable outcome will be seven games, ala milwaukee. but as long as the celtics win, i am happy.

heck, i am happy even if they lose. this team has been amazing and fun to watch all year.  ;D

p.s. thanks flc for another wonderful game thread. i do so enjoy reading your analyses. these are a labor of love and that is clear. tp for the thread, and in one hour, a tp for all you have done this season.

and last, but certainly not least....

goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo celtics!!!!  ;D

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Probably wont even watch. Expecting one of those WWE games where the fix is in. Horrible officiating where breathing on Simmons is a technical foul. Well lose by double digits..

I'm expecting the Sixers role players will have big games and make a bunch of threes. I also expect Simmons to have a bounce back game.  We're really going to need big performances from everyone to win today.
