If we limit the effectiveness of Middleton then we win going away.  He's arguably been their best player this series.

He's been insane. Averaging 25/6/4 so far these playoffs on 57% shooting along with 2 steals/game (!!)

But Marcus Smart comes back, and Middleton shoots 42% from the field in Game 5 and has 23 points (9-21 shooting). Still good, but not as great as his first four games (fairly "average" for Middleton). Hopefully a similar trend follows in Game 6.

Agreed, Giannis will put up his numbers, but so long as we *contain* Middleton and Brogdon, we should be fine. (And we better be scoring as well. Can't afford LARGE stretches of scoreless basketball on the road again)

I think we have officially reached the point where Brad has figured everything out in terms of adjustments.  I love how we match up defensively with Semi in the starting lineup.  It's 100% on the players to execute tonight.

It would be nice to get off to a good start offensively so that Brad could consider using Monroe.  Monroe's lack of quickness on defense becomes more of an issue when we turn the ball over and fail to get good shots for 4-5 minute stretches.  I believe Monroe can contribute positively for 10-15 minutes if we keep Milwaukee in the half court sets.

I love our team, but honestly would be very surprised if we win tonight. This series just feels like it is destined to go the full 7.

Here's to hoping I am wrong.

I feel a Smart 3-20 game coming on. Let's hope Rozier and Brown shoot well enough tonight.

When was the last time Smart took 20 shots?

My thoughts exactly. And the last thing Smart would do is jeopardize their chances of closing out a playoff series by even taking more than 12 FGA, (his average is 9.5) which I seriously doubt would even happen..

Smart is going to spend twice as more energy guarding Middleton.

Two adjustments I would make if I was MIL. First, just guard Horford one on one in post straight up. Dont foul, dont doube, just put hands up and defend. Hes not a good postplayer, hasn't been his entire career. Make him shoot his little hooks and fall aways. Doubling him just open up passing lanes. Second, play way off smart. Go under pick and rolls. Smart is a 29 percent 3pnt shooter without a splint. Play off him and all of a suddenly his play making ability is hindered and he cant shoot. This gums up celtics offense even more.

Key for the Celtics then would be if Jaylen/Jayson/Terry can create enough offense.

This has ALL the makins of a old school bar fight game.... a real dandy of a brawl ..... :)

Both Marcus 's get techs called on them I predict , Bledsoe with tech and maybe Thong Raker  :D

Maybe Morris can coax Middleton   to fight and end in double ejection .

KG will be watching  ;D
