This article confirms what I've always disliked about Rivers.  He is a fake, a phoney, a fraud, etc.  He says whatever he needs to say whether he believes it or not and has always just come off as dishonest to me.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Probably. He didn't want to stick around for the best franchise in basketball, so I doubt he's gonna want to stick around for one of the historically worst.

I'm not so sure the Clippers are rebuilding, at least in the true sense of the word.  They have some solid talent.  The don't have a franchise level player, but they can fairly easily be a 45-50 win team next year.

Considering Minnesota is barely clinging on, and must win tonight to keep their playoff hope alive, and same goes for Nuggets, 45-50 win team seems probable, but even then what's the point of being a treadmill mediocre team especially in the West? Just spells a lot of trouble, and considering CP3 wanted out, I don't think the owners are okay with having yet another disappointing season.

Welp, this article should satiate the Doc Rivers haters.  Good for them, I don't care.

Still love Doc for everything he accomplished while he was here.

The Captain and The Truth himself taking some sideways shots at Doc in that article, after he showed up to Paul's retirement ceremony and everything.

I don't have strong feelings for him either way, but this article rehashes a lot of old stuff and just kind of takes shots at Doc. Whats the point of that? Leaked to prepare for him being fired?

Rivers isn't going to be with the Clippers any longer, he's been disappointing every season, and losing both their best two players doesn't spell good news for River's future.

TP ....I feel the same about Rivers the coach /GM ....that said .I did like hm alot as a player , especially the way he hustled in college.

He is all about himself first ....how to  beat or use  the system.

I agree.

I mean, of all the coaches to profile, why Doc? His story is well-known and he's had neither great success nor overwhelming failure since leaving the Cs. Aren't there 20 or so other coaches with more interesting stories?

I don't think these are necessarily sideways shots at Doc. I can see how Pierce and co. when all the credit for how the 2008 team came together is laid at the feet of the coach. The players also had a part in that, you know...
