I have been calling for Bird to play all year. He is better than Nader or Allen.

The way he moves reminds me of Jordan (not as explosive). But is elusive

That is a ridiculous thing to say, but I agree with you.

I agree Chris

There was a few times where he looked lost. But CBS did not play him the correct way

tonight is most ideal. Have him cut from the baseline (like how AB used to do it).  He can also hit the 3

Remember that one play where he is about to shoot, hangs in the air (Jordanesque) , passes to  Monroe, who  returns the pass , for the layup

that was a beauty.

Every single shot bird made (except for 1) was assisted by Monroe.

Monroe got a triple double and a lot of assists thanks to bird

These 2 make a good duo. If we can keep both for next year and beyond that would be great

I don't remember this...but definitely good coaching/encouragement by CBS to Bird (vs Sac)

His cutting, passing, and protecting the ball with the rim shows the kid has a high bb IQ and understands how to play basketball.

Only weakness I see is his free throws.

I will just repeat my words from yesterday. We have a secret treasure in Brown and Tatum, a star players in Irving and Hayward, not forgetting Horford as well. Conclusion: we already have a championship-calibar team. No need to give any of those for Kawhi or anyone. All we need is HEALTH and there's no player that we trade for that can guarantee us this.

I feel the same and wonder who Nader has comprising pics of, Ainge or CBS to explain his playing ahead of Bird?

Precisely. I can’t think of one occasion of Nader hitting multiple backdoor cuts in a game.

Considering Bird’s form is generally good (140/186 from the line while he was at Cal), think he just had a bad game in terms of fre throw shooting

I started liking him when CBS sung his praises earlier this season. Not before. Not after. If CBS thinks he can turn Bird into an NBA role player, I'm on board.

Bird may be one of the most explosive athletes to play in the NBA this season. He is not particularly strong, but the quickness and explosiveness off the ground are elite.

The jumpshot looks fine. He was flat at CAL and still seems flat, but it goes in a decent amount.

There's no reason he can't get offense the same way Bradley did - spot up 3s, mid-range jumpers off down screens, and backdoor cuts.

The question is whether or not he can or will leverage his elite athleticism and good length into good on-ball defense.

I like what I've been seeing from him so far but he still needs to add a consistent three point shot to his repertoire to stick around the NBA. By all means, he isn't a horrendous three point shooter but he has only made 32,5% of the 3pt shots he has taken in the G-League this season. He would be a great asset to have off the bench if he improves his three point shooting to around 37-40%.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Nader never this looked ever this season against Bulls etc

Gibson and Bird look much better than allen or nader  so far

I have to agree with this comment on Bird; I've wondered what Brad is seeing that I'm missing. Bird seems like a better end-of-the-bench development project than Nader, given his superior athleticism, and he also seems more ready than Allen.
