Hey all,

As we have discussed on some other threads. This season is the most widespread tanking that anyone can really remember for the longest stretch of times. With at least 8 hardcore tanking the last 6 weeks already and a 9th team just very legitimately bad (Nets). I am wondering if this has led to some of the easiest stretches of basketball in NBA history. In addition to all these teams being bad, they are sitting their players (Booker, Warren, Lopez, Levine, Dunn, Schroeder, Evans, etc). I think there are a few teams that have had incredible stretches of playing teams that do not want to win the game. One that really jumps out cause I have been following them for playoff seeding is 76ers. From March 11th through today the 76ers will have played 14 games

Nets
Pacers
Knicks
Nets
Hornets
Grizzlies
Magic
Timberwolves
Nuggets
Knicks
Hawks
Hornets
Nets
Pistons

So in a 14 game stretch they are playing 2 games against current playoff teams. Given how late it is in the season, I am wondering if this is the longest month stretch like this record wise? I am thinking it is possible it is because of how bad some of these teams records are and the fact that they haven't really played anyone with even a good record besides the pacers.

I also realize Cleveland had a pretty crazy stretch early in the season, but the teams had a lot better records at those points because the teams had not started intentionally losing yet. Its definitely possible some of the non playoff teams have been doing this and i just haven't been paying attention to their schedules as closely since they don't impact the celtics and their seeding.

I remember pointing this out to someone and they were all "you can only beat who you play!" and just missing the point entirely.

Glad this tremendously flawed team got bounced in 5, and glad Embiid had a little cry on the court after he turned it over
