Burke is bad but better than listening to Mark Jackson.

Mark Jackson is the worst.

All he has going for him are few catch phrases that were stale 10 years ago.

I had to turn the sound off - Doris Burke is the worst in the business. She shouts into the mic.

The only reason she is on air is ESPN and all their politics - whenever it's an espn game, I know I am in danger of her being on air. I have to laugh at these awards she receives only because she is a woman in a man's business.

Doris Burke is terrible, I won't pretend she isn't.

But, "a man's business"?  Really?  It's time to come out of your cave.
Yeah, Burke is a trash commentator, but that second half is a bit much.

Burke is bad but better than listening to Mark Jackson.

Listening to Burke or Jackson is like listening to cats doing it in a back alley LOL.  They are TEEEEERRRRIIIIBLLLLLE.  Jackson will always find a way to talk about Lebron and Burke will ALWAYS disrespect the Celtics.  And I agree, the ONLY reason she gets to do these games is because she's a woman.  But this is the world we live in where you don't get things because you earn it, you get them because of your "level of victimhood" you claim.

Thank goodness we don’t play much in California

He'll be on in the playoffs and it's like listening to a beer can in a blender.

Mark Jackson is very good. I love his basketball values.

All the comments about what a neanderthal I supposedly am are laughable. I am quite the feminist. But I don't want someone doing commentary on something they have never done before ........... and no women have ever played in the NBA. And every woman that does commentary on a man's sport sounds forced, because they are. What a bunch of correct hacks you are.

Ugh, the playoff commentary will be disgusting. If we come up against Cleveland I’m 100% muting my TV

My biggest take away from this game.....Toronto is HIGHLY overrated.  They struggled to beat us with us at 60% and them fully healthy.  Come playoff time when we get both Kyrie and Smart back (and maybe Theis) we take these clowns out in 5 games.
I agree, sort of.  Toronto has been  awful lately, including this game.  We would have smoked them at full strength.  But I also think they’re better than they’ve been lately.  Sometimes teams get in a funk.  We’ve seen that throughout the season.

As awful as Toronto was today, we were worse.  I don't get the 'well if we were at full strength they wouldn't have a chance" comments.  Yeah we are missing Kyrie and Smart.  But for the whole season they were the better team.  They just cemented home court through the whole east playoffs.  They may not be able to take out the Cavs, but if we play them in the ECF, they have home court and we don't.  They have been very good on their home court, and I don't have a lot of confidence that we can beat them in a 7 game series.

16 turnovers, out-rebounded and shot 13% from 3, 92 shots to 75 shots. No way to win with those stats.

People are hell bent on setting this blog back into the 1950s.  lol.  cmon comments like this are trash regardless of what you think about Burke.

So Kevin Harlan should also stop doing NBA game commentary? Mike Breen too? By your criteria, only NBA players should be able to do NBA commentary. TNT does this every Tuesday, it's called "Player's Only". It's excruciating.

Putting aside the labels for a second, because that's just not going to lead anywhere good, what exactly about basketball makes it a man's sport?  Do women not also play basketball?  Is what is going on out there really impossible for a woman to comprehend and competently comment on?

Yeah, one of the bigger games for us this year, and we really laid a big egg.  Not an inspiring game for the confidence level heading into the playoffs.

I said "NBA Basketball"

Women can do all the women's games they want. Broadcasting is just something that men are better at than women. Pretending otherwise does not make you a beautiful human being.

Yes, "Players Only" is often bad, some of those guys are terrible at broadcasting (you know, sorta like women are). Relax, there are plenty of things women are better at than men. Overall, they are probably better people.
