Let's say for the next 3 years, Howard plays on average 65 games, and we'll go by a lower base statistic of his annual career rebounds 11.2 RPG.  11.2*65 (3x65= 728) adds up to 2,184 rebounds.

It's not that far beyond belief to think Howard could surpass and get up to top 10 all time rebounds.

If that happens, then he's clearly gonna be a HOF, without a doubt. His resume has been pretty impressive.

He maybe a clown, but you can't take away his accomplishments. He should go down there in the future.

Howard will be a HOFer for sure. This has been known for some time now.

My first thought was no-brainer HOFer.  Looking at his stats:  14 (out of 14) years averaged double-double.  Averaging better than 17/12 for his career.  From 2007 to 2014 he averaged 20/14.   Oh, and a 3 time DPOY.   How can he not be a HOFer?

Charlie Scott just got in.  Dwight has nothing to worry about.  Paint your plaque, clown.

howard has personal stat greatnes , but has been a disease on every team .  He is opposite Smart ,  Smart causes wins with intense BB plays . mHoward is a clown and while he posts double doubles , he impacts winning in a negitive way.  Gets traded off teams ....each hoping he will actually impact winning .instead they get worse.   Best way he can help is not show up and stay home.

he belongs to the Hall of Clowns .

People can mock him all they want, Howard is going to get the last laugh when he gets inducted to the HOF, which is guaranteed at this point.

His accomplishments are too great to ignore, period.

I'm 100% with you Howard when it comes to a lack of impact on winning.  He had a short run in Orlando where he was a difference maker but it's easy to question his passion for winning.  Setting that aside, he is definitely a Hall of Famer based on the precedent that has been set over the years.  There are plenty of players who get in on stats alone.

he also had 4 top 5 MVP finishes including a 2nd.  He actually led the league in total rebounds 6 times (5 times per game as you indicated).

And he gets knocked for not winning but the Magic were a 25.6% win team before he got there. They improved 15 games in his rookie year to a 43.9% team, did that again in year 2, jumped to 48.8% in year 3, and then were never worse than 56.1% (his last year).  Since he left they have never eclipsed 42.7% and they were only above 35.6% that 1 time.

The Lakers were a 45 win team his one year there.  They were a 27 win team when he left. They were better before him though.  Houston got 9 games better his 1st season there, though they did level off and then made that huge jump after he left (though D'Antoni did come in and they improved their overall roster). Atlanta got 5 games worse but lost both Horford and Teague and basically only added Dwight. Atlanta is now tanking. Charlotte only win 36 games last year and is slightly better than that this year.

So overall this idea that Dwight isn't conducive to winning just doesn't seem to hold much merit.  He is definitely a diva, but really who isn't at that type of talent level.  Everywhere he goes he produces and he continues to do so despite some pretty serious back injuries diminishing his athleticism.

Dwight is an easy 1st ballot Hall of Famer.

I don't really disagree with any of this, but what is the deal this year? He is playing with an allstar, should be on the tail end of his prime and is currently getting blown out by a philly team without static or embiid? How is he getting shut down by Amir Johnson and Holmes?

he was 4 of 7, scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 26 minutes.  No idea why he didn't play more minutes. Walker was terrible which is why they lost so badly.
