Toronto might need to win that game to have a better record than Golden State, yes?

Good catch. I guess it will come down to whether or not GSW beats the Jazz tomorrow night. I am not sure how hard they will be trying, while the Jazz are actually fighting to maintain the 4 spot and have home court in the first round.

Even this late in the season their are so many teams who's playoff spots are still up in the air. It's all usually settled by now...

Think Miami and Washington ll finished tied in the end:
Per Twitter

6. Milwaukee   44-37  (At Philadelphia)
7. Miami          43-38  (Toronto)
8. Washington 42-38  (Boston, at Orlando)

Tie breaker pecking order: Miami > Washington > Milwaukee

So, essentially at this point tomorrow's game ultimately will decide if we avoid Washington in the first round. Given Miami's tiebreaker over Washington and Milwaukee's win tonight, a win over Washington tomorrow would push them to the 8th seed for good, leaving Miami and Milwaukee to fight for the 6 and 7 seed on the final day of the season.

Ideally, (1) we will beat Washington tomorrow, (2) Miami will beat a resting Toronto team on Wednesday, and (3) Milwaukee will lose to Philly on Wednesday, setting us up for a Miami first round matchup and a 76ers second round matchup.

Celtics could barely squeak by the Wizards this year. Their losing ways has got to end and it most likely starts tomorrow lol. I'd like the Heat or Bucks in the first round.

This is why I believe the NBA was a rousing success this year despite all the injuuries to its stars... There is a bit of parity specially among the middle meddling teams.

The race to the bottom was also exciting... Always has been anyways where the league just will never get rid of tanking.

The East and West playoff seedings still undecided up to the very last day is unprecedented.. With the Nuggets clinging on to that final spot... It will be so sad for one of the Nuggs and Wolves to miss it.... The league is remarkably headed in a good direction... All eyes will be on LeWhine in the offseason.. We he stay in the East or head out West.

Looks like most likely scenario is
Phili Miami Washington win.
In that case we will play the Wiz. :-\

that was my thought (seeing that toronto already had the better record locked up against GSW) but what if they want to keep washington out of their bracket?

Here are the scenarios for our opponent, helpfully organized by possible results tonight.

Looks like Miami is the most likely with Washington and Milwaukee about equal.

I'd be fine with that.  I really want no part of MIL.

Milwaukee is the most talented but the least-organized and worst-coached of the 3 I think.  Miami probably the opposite. Washington depends on which version of the team shows up. Not sure which is the best scenario but I think I lean toward Miami too.
