Race for 3rd spot in East - Celtics possible 2nd round matchup

I object to this thread.  Let's win the 1st round before we start talking about the 2nd round.

I assume you are joking. I put the non-jinx caveat in my OP. Other than that it’s like saying why ever look to the future? Do you object to threads involving our draft picks, etc? Let’s worry about this season before worrying about draft picks. 

As fans there is nothing wrong with speculating about the future, or what-ifs scenario. We can speculate about a possible finals matchup and it wont affect the team in any way. Why is a mod objecting to it? Are such discussions not allowed in CB anymore?

The tight race for 3rd means that The Cavs will have to play hard right up until the end of the season and no rest for LeBron.

I personally would want any team other than Cleveland.

But, I wonder what LeBron wants? Maybe he would rather play Toronto?

Obviously if Celtics are decimated, that’s who you take, but if we expect Irving and Smart back, maybe he doesn’t want us? Who knows.

He can definitely stop Derozen himself and force Lowry, who routinely disappears, to beat them. I think they are a much easier matchup for Cleveland but again depends how we look heathwise going in.

Cavs are gonna play to win but their schedule is more difficult and I don’t think they will be all that upset if they get the 4-seed.

Cavs are waiting on where we land and since there is still a slim chance we nip the Craptors for the top seed.. It is then when we see if LeWhine will rest or not.. Frankly I feel that the Cavs would still prefer the Raptors in the 2nd round than us. We have so many people who score when called upon plus we have the no. 1 defense.. Lequeen would not want to deal with that. If the Cavs check Derozen then the Raptors are virtually eliminated.

I think that most years I’d agree with you, but this team won’t be “healthy” until the 2nd Round at the earliest. So unfortunately that means 2nd round matchup matters a bit more.
