I'm wondering if the Clippers offered him a fully guaranteed, pro-rated minimum contract for the remainder of the season. Kilpatrick is just coming off his second 10 day contract with the Clippers.

Bulls?....weird....better deal, I guess

Relative to the other guys that have gotten a similar contract (Troy Williams, Shaq Harrison, Papagiannis), he's definitely deserving.

When you have trouble signing Sean Kilpatrick for a late season pickup, that's when you know there's very little talent left out there to sign and help you out for the rest of the season.

He may make with the Clippers but I wager he would play longer in the offseason with us in the long run.

Kilpatrick signs with the Bulls - a 3 year (!) deal, but with two team options.

Seems like a Danny-esque cheapo deal with little long-term risk special.

Also, are Bulls under the salary floor? Could be related to that.

He couldn't play in the playoffs for us anyway unless we dropped someone for him. Take the money because we may not have played him much anyway because CBS needs to give minutes to the guys who are eligible to play in the playoffs in case of injuries (semi and Nader even though it hurts).
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Sean Kilpatrick is a NBA level player that has no business signing minimum contracts.

He's not a starting caliber player or anything, but he's a NBA caliber guy. He's a rotation caliber guy if his deep ball is falling.

Yeah, he was on my fantasy team so I followed him a bit in Brooklyn. Kinda surprised he's on the fringes but he's already 28, his main skill set is volume scoring, and he hasn't really contributed to any good or high-profile teams. The ability is definitely sufficient but I can see why both good and bad teams wouldn't be super-interested in that package.

Right. Volume scoring but mediocre or worse shooting.

As for the vet minimum, that’s just the going rate for a lot of flawed contributors. I mean, look at Gerald Green, who didn’t even make a roster to start the year.

If we can't even get Sean Kilpatrick then might as well just give us Leandro Barbosa back.

Can't see any better options.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
