If we need a wing I'd go for Matt Barnes, tough dude that is a 3 and D player. If we need a guard I'd go for Tony Allen or Jordan Crawford. Quite content with the Horford-Baynes-Monroe rotation at C so I'm good with not adding bigs.

If the pickings are slim is there a point to looking at players from other leagues in the hope of finding a Theis level player?

Is this possible and worth considering? Otherwise it looks like you add someone who just gives players a chance to rest but doesn't add much to the team.

Monta Ellis.  Only 32 and played lots for the Pacers last year.  Averaged 13 pts and almost 5 assists two year ago.
